I don't know what the legal stand would be..but isn't it possible that after Sai being declared dead, the criminal family and dcp would have withdrawn the case as dcp being legal heir might have the right to pursue the case or not.. And moreover with the child and mother both assumed dead it was probably quite easy.

So is there a statute of limitation on that?

And and this guy is in police. It's very easy to close the case. Happens a lot in society.

Even if Sai was alive, he would have closed the case.

Omi didn't get caught after forging documents.

Not watched the episode. With come with more later. Just say they ate dragging unnecessarily. Sai will get a setback, but for once I am happy that Sai has at least talked about surrogacy n P crimes
