Also find out who can be a surrogate mother? Not someone who has never gone through the natural process of pregnancy and birthing.

Post birth the surrogate mother and the child are totally separated. The surrogate is not allowed to physically breast feed the baby( the milk can be expressed out and bottle fed). That too is a medical decision.

I don't know if this has been raised earlier in this post.

But the same cannot be said about adoption a girl child by a bachelor. He has to be married to adopt a girl child.

But he hasn’t adopted a girl. Adoption was for a boy so he didn’t need to marry

And there r so many ladies n his house. Thy can also adopt on his behalf.

IRL, a bachelor can’t adopt a Girl child but can adopt a Male child.

Also, IRL, a bachelorette can adopt a Girl child. Eg: Sushmita Sen, Raveena Tondon, etc

Tv and movie are large media which can influence lakhs of people. When someone fights against illegal things that r shown in fiction. It doesn't mean they are free, doing social worker programme. They are fighting against illegal things on fiction so that normal audience doesn't get misinformation about legal things or think abuse as normal.

I personally don't care about any character. But the way they are making mockery of surrogacy/adoption laws, normalising abuse is problematic. It deserves complaint.

The surrogacy law has a clause specifically against misinformation...anyone spreading wrong information is liable to lawsuit & punishment. That's why IBF is atleast considering the complaint. I complained against romanticization & normalization of domestic abuse in the show - IBF just forwarded the complaint to the channel...did not deem my complaint valid or anything like in surrogacy case. Since IBF members are representatives from all channels, they protect each other. There is zero accountability.

The writers basically think they are writing only for an illiterate population. Because the TRP audience is a mixed bunch. That's why they confidently put forth these dialogues. They will definitely overturn them in no time, they must be ready for it too. They will cover their tracks.

But the complaint should be registered as soon as it happens, from Monday, everyday we have had clear dialogues, this is the time to complain. And only about surrogacy.

I wish the media would pick it up too. One article is enough.

The adoption process itself was illegal because the adoptive father need not marry to adopt a male child and no institution has any legal rights to have its own regulations .top it all sai did not give up the rights on vinu but she lost him in an accident.. So Pakhi is bound to give up her rights on vinu...chanbek is literally spreading misinformation..

Majority of ITV watchers are from either old or illiterate demographic except for the online viewers who are well aware of the laws.. Channel is being so irresponsible in such sensitive matters..

I had complained on this exact point that Indian law doesn't require a man to be married to adopt a male child. That's exclusive requirement if he wants to adopt a female child. Laws of Ashram cannot supercede national laws.

But I have not received any response on this... I did receive on surrogacy one which I have shared.

Just saying that maybe adoption and bigamy are not that important as per IBF.
