I still believe Virat is designed after Rono! Thats why I keep the belief. I Know I know he married Pakhi which is something I am not able to come to terms with because I have seen Rono!!

However, instead of showing Virat as someone who neglected pregnant Sai for ill Sruthi, which they could not after showing Virat obsessing over their kid, they brought in surrogacy track. They showed his negligence there. So they could avoid sruthi 2 track. But see how intelligently they introduced Michil as Vinu! The entire surrogacy track is brought for a reason.

Also, imagine if they had made virat take Pakhi's responsibility because she suffered due to his decision not to marry her!! would we like it?Because in KD, Rono takes up RK's responsibility because her life was spoiled by his initial decisions. Here we all know Virat was over Pakhi...he was madly in love with Sai. I would have hated it if they had shown Virat taking Pakhi's responsility because he has wronged her during marriage. NO. But if he had taken her responsibility because he screwed up her life due to his surrogacy decision then I would lap it up!

I know we dont know yet why he is so concerned and indebted towards Pakhi, but I have seen Rono!! So I believe Vankar eventuallly shows Virat like him. That is the hope.

Otherwise, as you said the side characters are toxic. Tublu and Mohit are not comparable. Tublu's affection or protection for Emon is like true brother. They also didnt establish the pain they felt after losing Sai, so we could not connect to them. I agree.

When people are mentally ill, suicidal and delusional, they need to see a psychiatrist. But when people lack common sense, empathy, logic and coherent thinking then nothing can be done. That is an irreparable defect. Unfortunately this just has to be tolerated by orhers around.

Karishma s saree was very nice today. It suits her so well.

How is anyone in the story not seeing it? Not even Sonali & Omkar. That two daughters in law left the house because of Pakhi. Two of their sons are miserable & suffering because of Pakhi.

I know there's never any build up to any character changing track in ghum. But it also is an interesting narrative especially if the pressure is to submit 7 episodes!!

Though Ghum used to do it before, private conversations between Sonali Omkar, or Mohit Karishma. I remember Sonali was so grateful to Sai for standing up for Mohit. Though she didn't express it in the open, she voiced it to Omkar. Now how come there's no complaint against Pakhi?
