Until surrogacy track I used to try to give benefit of doubt to V thinking that his wrongs are a product of bad upbringing and his intentions were in the right place and he does love Sai only but he is easily manipulated and stupid and he has a sense of guilt and pity towards P. Just because there was a love story I as a viewer forced myself to look past his crimes during Shruti track thinking - ok they didn't dwell on his regret but he must have grown after all the screw ups.
But the surrogacy track and now post leap it's basically established that he is the kinda guy who even when faced with proof/evidence etc, he can still make wrong decisions deliberately without any pressure and then justify them all shamelessly making himself the victim. His entitlement, arrogance in the guise of self pity, self proclaimed righteousness is dangerous especially given his position as DCP.
If P, BK are manipulative, V is their master.
He literally cannot think of anything but himself and his ego. And any good he does is also out of his bloated ego. He occasionally does a decent job at work purely for the accolades, the power trip, the ego massage because if he truly lived by the ideals of a good IPS he'd not be violating the law so often and so frickin casually as per his convenience.
He can't grasp what is appropriate behavior with a woman, lover, wife- ok chalo. But he cant even grasp what it is to be a good father , son, brother. Khoon ke rishte also he cant fulfil.
The makers project him as loving father to the kids but his reality is there for us to see in the way he behaved with Vinu's leg issue, with Savi's revelation. He cannot really put the kids first. Its all about his power trip, his ego. And sadly the kids also give me that ego massage. And even Sai is made to praise his parenting. Its shameful. Hes NOT a good dad. He isnt.
Not only is he morally bankrupt he cant even do his job diligently.
He is a failure in every aspect of life.
The only expectation I had left, was that at least his repentance, guilt should be genuine like it has been in case of JM despite how annoying it was to see him interfere in Savi's upbringing and have the audacity to preach good parenting... But he still brought the sincerity and earnestness of a man who is genuinely trying to be better. But in Vs case he literally has learned NO lessons in life. He continues to cheat, lie, make false promises, treat everyone around him like shit, act entitled and arrogant. He has zero consistency. Literally he can change his mind in seconds. The most untrustworthy, immoral, pathetic, spineless character who has no idea what the F he wants in life. He just exists and wants everyone to revolve around him, call him mahaan or pity him and he gets pleasure out of feeling important and gets a high from his self pity party. Waahiyat insaan
No wonder him and P are together. Both cut from the same cloth but now it seems that P has 1% conscience, V lacks even that.
