I’m not pro Ashwini, she is as selfish as she can be. Selfish, but for her son. And when it comes to him there is no right or wrong. But she does have a place for Sai somewhere. However, like I said her love for V supersedes everything and she will disown anything and anyone in this world for him. Even the one who taught her to fight for that son.
But today Ashwini was not just V’s mother, she did show that hidden mother of Sai.
For mother’s the safest place for their children is next to them. And their heart is not at rest till their child is back home. Despite all the factual and logical elements well defined and understood this fear that something unfortunate might happen to their child is always in their mind. To lesser or higher degree. But it is always there. Their mind is constantly protecting their child from this scary unpredictable outside world. Today Ashwini was that mother of Sai.
Sai didn’t return home. Ashwini knows Sai’s core character and somewhere she appreciates it. So she knows that Sai is someone with high morals and she will never lie. If she is holding back the truth from Savi it has to have some reason. And this is when a mother’s fear that something untoward has happened to Sai comes out and she is restless. She knows Sai well and her nature, but she feels that she is not right for her son. As she is capable of leaving him and hurting her son beyond measure.
Now see the Ashwini who is V’s mother. She is encouraging P to fight for her rights. Pushing her towards Virat. Because she is in a frenzy. Panic mode. She knows the pull Sai has on V. Now if something unfortunate has happened to Sai, she knows V will stand up for her. This is enough for V to go after Sai and for their relationship to restart. So here is the mother who wants to ensure that P blocks V’s return to Sai.
Coming to V. Yes he is an escapist. He tries to stall or avoid confrontation or tough situations. And he is a husband who loves his wife and obviously would not want any harm on her. He will go after anyone who harms her. But he will not in his worst dream imagine something wrong has happened to her.
Now see the difference. There is love. But look at the difference in how fear is approached by both. V has not thought on those lines, and will not till someone says it, or reveals it. Because for him, it is painful, so his mind will block any such possibilities. He will believe that she moved out, has a child, ditched him. But will not think on those lines. Because it is easier to fight with her, hate her, than think of something unfortunate happening to her or someone hurting her.
Sai’s assault theory will float in CN and outside. We know how Chavans wait to pounce on Sai and this will be a trump card. They will play dirty and call her all names for it. That is their regressive thinking. P will also put this thought in V’s mind while he may want to ignore it altogether. But when it comes from her he will be convinced on the possibility.
It wouldn’t even come as a surprise if Chavans propose Sai-JM marriage to get this off their back forever.
V’s words everyday are a hint at the impending storm. He is getting more and more attached to Savi and her pain is hurting him. He is getting very affected. The moment he knows the truth all hell will break loose. He is capable of doing irreparable damage in that anger. The fact he never even considered the thought that Savi is his daughter will never occur to him.
There has to be a mirror to show his image with P and Vinu and his assumption of a similar image of Sai with Savi and someone. Vis-a-vis the fact that Sai loved faithful to him all these years while bringing up their daughter.

The conversation between Sai-JM was for that. He is updated on the developments, he knows why Sai is hiding the fact to save V’s family, and he knows Sai’s suffering. He is also aware of Savi’s yearning for a father. There is no one who can do that job better. Even with two thrashes down that face of the moron who cannot see the obvious truth.
The key difference between P and JM. P is insecure that V might go back to Sai. Despite all that she did, and well aware of V’s feelings for Sai, she still wants to keep him with her. Even at the cost of V’s unhappiness.
At the same time, JM still has soft corner for Sai, but still never consider that as a remote possibility. He is content seeing Sai and Savi happy. Whatever it takes.
Stark contrast in P and Sai. P is the woman who destroyed her life, snatched her child, her husband, her family. V stood by P and his family and let Sai leave. Yet today, Sai is trying to avoid any conflict in V and P’s life. She truly wishes them well. Savi’s truth can throw their supposed “ happy married” life for a full toss and she is worried for V. She is not thinking about herself or V or family’s anger. All she is concerned about the repercussions on V’s married life.
And on the other side P who claimed to be reformed and repenting on her deeds is insecure and worried about her own position. All she is thinking right now is herself.
Both kids have picture of their complete family. But Vinu has P and Savi has Sai in it. But it is Vinu’s picture that feels wrong, because Sai is his mother and till P is replaced by Sai it will never be truly a complete picture.
