Getting wilder and wilder ! It's like 20 degrees here since a few days, but we were freezing (as we should in October) with weather below 0 degrees (not that we are complaining 😆). We've never had such a warm Diwali ! It was the best thing ever, but the drastic weather change is concerning...

I'm pretty sure last year we had a day where it was like -20 and then, the next day it was like 10 degrees !

Glad you are safe Sadhika!!!

And everyone else who stays nearby. 👍🏼

Climate change is horrible and this is only the start. It's going to get much worse. As a researcher in the same field I am worried for it more than anything else.

Climate is a long term statistic (usually 30 years average), derived over years of assessment that so n so is going to be situation for a particular location, weather is a daily occurrence but because of CC, everything is changing so rapidly that our generation is seeing those changes in our lifetime... like many of you pointed out, this wasn't the situation in our childhood. And now we see it getting unpredictable every year.

It is going to affect everything from food supply to resources to jobs and eventually Society.

And it's not different here in India either.

Pune and Bangalore was flooded last week due to incessant rains. This is Oct... pre Diwali week. Ye hota tha kabhi?

This year the monsoon has dropped more rain in Rajasthan than in UP.

UN has coined a term now, Climate refugees... that migration for those who can afford has started ... those who cannot will either perish or shift nearby leading to more conflicts in a geopolitically intense world soon.

I will stop because I can go on and on... 😔

Wow ! That's an interesting career choice. As a teacher, I find it so important to teach these kids about our planet and practice the different ways to help the environment. It's much better in developed countries, but it doesn't mean that everyone understands and does the right thing ! Humans and humans alone are responsible for all the problems in the world ! It's sad, but it's true. All we can do is bring awareness...

Thank you... as of now my research is not directly linked to CC but I learned that during my Masters.

So it is always there in the background in my research. Mine is currently more focused on wastewater.
