I have seen this show on and off since it started, no more than 2-3 episodes in a row, because the collective let's-sit-in-the-hall-and-rant-against-one-person for 3 episodes has a mental limit in my case.
I have never been active on this forum so I am sure someone must have already this before, but after seeing today's episode, I had total clarity (almost felt like a mental orgasm) as to why this show remains popular despite all the negativity and madness.
I think it is the TV show equivalent of breaking things - i.e. it gives the viewer (at least this one) the vicious satisfaction of seeing people saying the vilest things to someone's face that we cannot even imagine doing in real life.
Let's admit it - we may not have the cheap thoughts that Virat and Paakhi and the samast Chavan household seem to have in unlimited supply - but we all have at least one person in our life against whom we have bhadaas but we can never let it out because it is family, our boss, a close friend who drives us total nuts sometimes or simply an annoying person in public transport.
BUT BUT...in this show, right from the day Sai came home married, there is such a free flow of insults, bad behaviour and cheap potshots that it feels almost liberating, that one may sometimes think "chalo, main toh yeh nahi bol sakti, par isne toh apne mann ki bhadas nikal li, woh bhi sab ke saamne".
Any thoughts??
P.S. After today's episode, I think I have my dose of negativity for another month after which I will surely find that somehow Sai left with a baby Vinu but 8 years later, she is raising a girl!! And of course, it will make sense the way everything makes sense on this show!
