Nope not at all required. All my documents right from passport to driving license has my maiden name. We both jointly own properties and bank accounts both in India and here . Never had any issues anywhere. If you do not want to change, please don’t- this is my advice 😃 Both my children have his surname. Since my name was the first emergency contact in the school, once they called home and asked him if he was Mr So-and-so , which is my surname. 🤣 That was the only time he was a little pissed 😆
So true...there are multiple benefits of maintaining the maiden name.
Once my mother was introduced to my father during a medical conference, by the organiser, not knowing that they were already married and had two kids.
It was a hilarious incidence.
But he also used Sai Joshi a few times when he was very angry with her - post anniversary and post sruthi 🤔 I didn’t like it back then . It was more of a taunt that he is disassociating himself 🤔Yes... quite progressive

I truly admire that part of Virat he genuinely respects Sai’s identity as a person and a woman!
I haven’t changed my maiden name I still have my Dads name as middle name! My husband gets annoyed for fun but he knows I am not going to change, he respects that choice!
