I absolutely love when V calls Sai .. Sai Joshi...

That to me signifies his acceptance of her as an individual with an identity first and then as his wife.

His Guru's daughter whom he vowed to protect

His attachment that grew into love

And the woman who inspires him ..

Me and Samruddhi (Sairat07) have discussed this earlier that's it's very endearing when V calls her Sai Joshi with or without a particular drawl. Very similar to the Virat Sir wala fan following.

He called her today when he proposed...

The other instance was when he saved her from falling into a ditch while coming back post second accident.

Which are the other instances that have been there?

Anyone can share???

No matter what he does to her but he always has put her identity before himself..

I have to give him for that

I loved it. In fact even my mother retained her maiden name after marriage. Her patent retort used to be, Jis naam se paida huye, ussi naam se marenge!

I also intend to follow her. Whenever the bells toll for me.

Virat has always maintained her identity. Refused to change her name postmarriage, even when Kaku said it was the family rivaaz.

Legal experts in the forum may clarify on this. It is not at all mandatory for a change of name post marriage.

No its not necessary... legally its not

But our red tape system is such that you need atleast one document / ID proof with a new name...

I have faced many irritating questions and retorts so finally had to get one.

Also, the people sitting behind these windows are very biased and chauvinistic so its an unwanted hazard to be dealing with those questions. ๐Ÿ˜”

I absolutely love his โ€œSai Joshiโ€ I can relate to this because I refused to change my maiden name after marriage and my husband has absolutely no issues with it. Its my identity which has my Dadโ€™s name and so its very precious for me. My husband totally understood my feelings and he supported me though in laws were not that happy. So Sai Joshi will always be Sai Joshi, no matter what. Hats off to makers for sticking to this stand by Virat right from the Namechange ceremony after their first marriage. Pretty progressive thought here ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ

Nope not at all required. All my documents right from passport to driving license has my maiden name. We both jointly own properties and bank accounts both in India and here . Never had any issues anywhere. If you do not want to change, please donโ€™t- this is my advice ๐Ÿ˜ƒ Both my children have his surname. Since my name was the first emergency contact in the school, once they called home and asked him if he was Mr So-and-so , which is my surname. ๐Ÿคฃ That was the only time he was a little pissed ๐Ÿ˜†

Yes... quite progressive

It is also his way of respecting KJ... to retain his identity...

and V knows Sai as Sai Joshi more than Sai Chavan ๐Ÿ˜†
