I was really trying hard to find some positives out of this shitty track just to give myself a reason to still continue watching this show . Its only because of Sai and Ayesha. Otherwise I would have said good bye to Ghum long ago . Also, I still have a teeny tiny hope that we will get our old Neil back.

So, what positive take aways did this track provide up till now?

As a show, did it manage to portray any good message?

Actually yes.

1. Sai’s decision to leave CN and proceed towards divorce. It is a pretty strong message . You dont have to tolerate crap if you find out that your husband is cheating on you. Walk out of the marriage with your head held high.

2. The way at least some of the Chavanis supported Sai’s decision to leave Virat.

Thats not what exactly happens in many families. The tendency is to find fault with the daughter in law and support the son, especially if he is one of the main bread winners of the family.

Its commendable how Ninad and Samrat took a strong stand that divorce is the right solution if Sai wants it.

3. Requesting Sai to stay in CN instead of leaving - Again a very rare occurrence as in laws usually think that once separated DIL does not have any haq to stay back. That was a pretty good message shown.

4. Today’s episode where Chavanis have decided to throw the son out. I actually loved that part, though the entire sequence is shown in a contrived way. We hardly get to see this on Indian TV . In our male dominated society the family always sides with the son, even if he is a criminal. I personally like this stand taken by the family. Agar galat kiya hain aur sudharne ka irada bhi nahin hain tho phir nikal jaa!

Also in pre cap where BK insists that Sai should be brought back - giving full support to the DIL of the house, jiski wo haqdaar hain.

5. Most importantly- Sai’s journey towards fulfilling her dream . A very strong message to all girls out there. No matter what happens in your life, do not give up on your education. And, most importantly you DO NOT NEED a man’s help to reach your goal if you are determined. You yourself are enough for you. Kabhi himmat mat haarna. ❤️

Why did I do all this? I am sick and tired of the negativity Ghum has been showing all these weeks. So really wanted to find a reason to continue watching without getting affected.

When Vanku throws lemons at us, lets make mast mast Lemonade and enjoy !! 🤗

Waiting patiently for Ayesha’s return and Ghum to change gears.

When I do the little gist for the TRP each week, I always end up with a better understanding of why the TRPs are high. They do show regressive crap most of the time, but sometimes the struggle that the characters face, does come up with some new concepts like you specified. It is different. All credit to Leena ..the writer.

If only the writers would tweak the basic tracks better, their TRPs would soar. But I guess they are happy with what they get.
