The problem for me was not the intimate scenes, its fine if they dont show, but the direction and story telling has been so bogus, the scenes looked so fake that it bored me. I do see old shows but I dont think "now" that Sairat are better than them. This show can fit well in Drama genre but this show is not a romantic show, the makers and the jodi are incapable to portray that aspect of the couple.

I know what you mean and I agree with you..

It's not a romantic show but lead couple scenes often comes out so meh.. I read pathetic explanations like time slot.. That's utter nonsense...I have seen better scenes between leads couples than Ghum..

Earlier I have mentioned kuch rang had this beautiful scenes like the couple do Yoga together. .it wasn't intimate at all but does enriches overall flavor as a Jodi.. Whole scenario was so real...

And same with me whenever I watch old shows their scenes are better than SaiRat.. I was an urdent fan of this Jodi the couple had problems doing intimate scenes together but still their scenes were so beautiful without using body double..

Umm honestly time slot was the most bogus theory I read when it comes to romantic scenes. Even the family shows before and after Ghum have better executed scenes. The problem has always been with how certain scenes are executed. If you keep aside a handful of scenes that fans keep bringing in to portray "Oh this show did show you some good scenes", the execution has been pretty much pathetic. The body language and everything else looks so fake and acted. In fact long back I mentioned to a friend that, I felt the tension between the two long back when they were not in love during the Amey track followed by Ladakh. I never saw it later. Forcing scenes here and there with zero involvement cannot assure love and tension.

There is a lot of difference in the bump scene you saw during alta episode and the others that have been done after that and even recently...

There is a lot of distance in the catch and fall scene that happened two days after Sairat's marriage followed by others..

The direction when Sai sees a chipkali on their wedding and hugs Virat and how the separation has close face shots, followed by Virat fixing her hair is still their best, because the director knew what is to be shown and did not leave the scene to the actors as per their convenience.

But again no point ranting about all that honestly.

Ignorance has taken place from directors to actors when show become stable in trp charts...intially it was in 5th position in trp chart so they tried hard to maintain the position....later when shows from big ph with popular actors could not stand in front of ghum they never cared about anything...

Lol. Let me explain what I meant. Lesser chemistry as in not just between characters and their personalities but between two people regardless of what is being shown. Most of the time when we watch a show, we ship two people not just because they look nice together (which is a major factor) but because of their scenes, storylines, dialogues etc. But with Neil and Ayesha, it is not like that, and I am not saying that it is for the first time in television, just that I haven't seen much chemistry like it. And I know this because ghum has really weird storylines and plots, yet these two managed to carry the show on their back for quite some time. It really took butchering Virat's character to another level for me to stop watching this show, and even then I couldn't stop myself from shipping SaiRat. I just hate the way they have completely ruined Virat and Sai's character. And all that is because of the top notch acting and compatibility between Neil and Ayesha. Which made me wonder, when I rewatched other shows, how good it all could have been had they shown good plots and sensible story lines.

Yeah, now that I re-read my post I understand where this is coming from. I know ghum isn't all about romance, but I didn't just mean romance, I meant all the things that constitute a show. Romance, character arcs, character developments, storylines, directions etc. I like how emotionally close Sai and Virat are, infact if there is one thing I like about ghum is that they took time to develop an emotional connection before showing any physical intimacy. Yet whenever they do show intimate scenes, there is more often than not some mistakes in direction or camera angle which makes it feel weird. Had it not been for Ayesha and Neil's acting, SaiRat would have been destroyed a long time ago. And well, everyone knows what a mess the writing is.

I meant, its not at all about romance. The show makers are inadequate there , while they do better with their other shows but Ghum.

I liked all aspects of Sairat that you mentioned during the initial phase of their marriage...Its has all been going down the drains since Virat committed his first crime towards his wife. And everything else Romance, character arcs, character developments, storylines, directions etc, has contributed to me not feeling that connect and seeing it in that aspect anymore.

I have a very, very soft spot for NeilSha....although SaiRat is dead 😭

The raw emotions they are capable of bringing....can set the screen on fire

The older director Jafar killed us by bringing their best chemistry to date...

But makers don't care that they are sitting on a gold-mine....

They could have become one of the most iconic on-screen jodis....but that chance got lost starting from PD lunch kaand...

I wish Ayesha & Neil could act in another show.....but that won't happen too😒

So i'm stuck with watching their old scenes....because every other show couple (except one) pales in comparison...
