I know what you mean and I agree with you..
It's not a romantic show but lead couple scenes often comes out so meh.. I read pathetic explanations like time slot.. That's utter nonsense...I have seen better scenes between leads couples than Ghum..
Earlier I have mentioned kuch rang had this beautiful scenes like the couple do Yoga together. .it wasn't intimate at all but does enriches overall flavor as a Jodi.. Whole scenario was so real...
And same with me whenever I watch old shows their scenes are better than SaiRat.. I was an urdent fan of this Jodi the couple had problems doing intimate scenes together but still their scenes were so beautiful without using body double..
Umm honestly time slot was the most bogus theory I read when it comes to romantic scenes. Even the family shows before and after Ghum have better executed scenes. The problem has always been with how certain scenes are executed. If you keep aside a handful of scenes that fans keep bringing in to portray "Oh this show did show you some good scenes", the execution has been pretty much pathetic. The body language and everything else looks so fake and acted. In fact long back I mentioned to a friend that, I felt the tension between the two long back when they were not in love during the Amey track followed by Ladakh. I never saw it later. Forcing scenes here and there with zero involvement cannot assure love and tension.
There is a lot of difference in the bump scene you saw during alta episode and the others that have been done after that and even recently...
There is a lot of distance in the catch and fall scene that happened two days after Sairat's marriage followed by others..
The direction when Sai sees a chipkali on their wedding and hugs Virat and how the separation has close face shots, followed by Virat fixing her hair is still their best, because the director knew what is to be shown and did not leave the scene to the actors as per their convenience.
But again no point ranting about all that honestly.
