Walking out of the deal, Virat cud hv done nothing. She shud hv gone to the DIG who happens to listen to her so much...Anyways she cud hv done it had she wanted it. She stayed out of her own free will as far as I remember.

That's what I would also like her to do but alas our this wish won't be fulfilled. She didn't broke the deal for domestic violence, manhandling, character assassination so, I doubt she will break it for feelings.

She has taken deal and its expiry date of 5years very seriously. If Virat says, he can't take Sai's zimmedari anymore, can't go thru this deal anymore, she is free to go then I think Sai will leave. It will be peaceful for both of them.

She was Forced to get married and then clearly told I WILL NOT LOVE YOU. She could have gone to the DIG then itself but she couldn't. There is no one in this world for Sai whatever n however low Virat gets but Sai has only one person. Love or not but Sai has feeling for Virat but honestly someone who can't shut their ex up or can't prioritise her over his ex will definitely make anyone feel insecure. If Virat can go and beat up for Ajinkya just sitting on the bed with Sai, Sai has Heard, Seen tolerated much more Pakhi and Virat nonsense.

Virat should clarify every thing to Sai infront of Pakhi and Shall shut Pakhi up saying she is his SIL n should stay in limits but well Virat's character has been reduced to a scumbag.

And Sai has become irritating. She should actually take a break from these a**h**₹.

👏 Fantastic post dear. An impartial and balanced critique of the story and the characters. Glad someone pointed out the lack of monologues for sai through which we can really get an insight into sai's thoughts and feelings and that can also help show progression in sai's realisation. It's frustrating because on itv monologues are very much a key and important tool to use in a love realisation track. On the other hand they have actually given many monologues for virat as part of his realisation and now post realisation, even though I've noticed repetition in his monologues which gets frustrating as we barely get an for sai at all whereas for virat they keep giving him monologues just to hear him thinking things he has already said in previous monologues.

We've already discussed so much about the characterisations of the characters but I feel we also need to point out the problem in their love realisation track and how it has been written.

In my opinion the love realisation track of virat was well-written, had a steady and clear progression even through the bumps they showed in sairat relationship during this period of him discovering feelings, because those bumps helped him realise his feelings.

I mean let's just look at it this way... Virat's journey from marriage to love realisation:

1. Attraction, admiration and attachment: Virat started enjoying sai's company straight after marriage and showed attraction to her very early on in the marriage. The night time scenes they had early on in the marriage like the sinhagad fort scenes as an example, and seeing sai dressed up at reception and the way he often looked at her etc. He started disliking moments when sai tried to distance herself from him or was angry with him, like moving out of the room into usha mausi's so he would try and convince her to come back as he loved her presence and company in his room.

2. Jealousy, possessiveness, protectiveness and denial: Curiosity over Aniket's aka jo-bhi-ket's height (LOL... GOLD), lashing out at sai for talking to Amey and pretending to flirt with him, preventing sai from going to her professor's house on the weekend wen no other student will be there other than her, Dhobi bann ke Ajinkya ko kapro ki tarha dho dalna 🤣 etc etc etc. All this he tagged as him only watching out for sai as she is his zimmedari when questioning his own feelings and actions.

3. Pain of separation and longing

4. Love realisation and fearing of how to confess

5. Trying to suss out sai's feelings for him.

6. Heartbreak at rejection.

Now for Sai's love journey:

1. Getting comfortable with virat but showing reluctance and rebellion to his interference in her life on basis of deal marriage.

2. Starting to show concern and attachment for him but holding back because of deal marriage

3. Pain of separation and longing

4. Jealousy, insecurity, questioning her feelings and denial denial denial and never ending denial due to deal marriage.

5. BHAM! Sai confesses love all of a sudden to virat without any natural progression of realisation and confusion how to confess feelings being shown (my prediction based on the stretching they have done).

There were clear stages with natural progression in virat's love realisation. With sai there's been snail's pace progression, repetition and stagnant progress, and in each stage the 'deal' fitoor has never left her mind. Her journey of love is like a rinse and repeat cycle and it's all because writers want to stretch the love confession of sairat by extending sai's denial stage.

I will credit Ayesha Singh for potraying so much of Sai's unsaid love realization in her eyes/expression/body language despite the lack of monologues. I think i have actually connected so much to Sai only because if hiw Ayesha portrays it. Even in moments where she does not get apt dialogues or a monologue, I can understand what she feels and where she's coming from.

Absolutely! Ayesha, despite the disservice the script is doing to her character is portraying the feelings of her character so well. ❤️
