Nah, it is not because Sai doesn’t feel anything and he doesn’t owe answers. It is like why to complicate it when she already thinks that there is something between him and Pakhi.
She thinks they have feelings for each other and if she comes to know whatt Pakhi spoke, he would only be worried that she might start to make some other meaning out of it. He might be thinking that she is capable of saying that he should tell Samrat Dada that they both love each other and part ways with their partners and get settled together. From whatever she has spoken so far, he knows that she is capable of coming to some utpatang conclusion and solution.
She might not even believe if he says that he doesn’t have feelings for Pakhi just like how she is not able to believe now. And in this situation, he will only be hesitant to share more because then she might start arriving at her own understanding and conclusion.
I don’t deny that Virat has to let her know but it is tricky and we can’t deny that it is tricky for him too. He avoided in the past for sometime since he didn’t know how to answer her or how to tell her. Sai is the girl whom he loves and he didn’t know how to explain that he fell for some other girl in the past and that was just an attraction. There was this waada too which she had asked, if he ever breaks his promises. I would say that he has made quite a lot of progress from the Virat I saw during the Ladakh trip.
He has now accepted that he has a past ofcourse because the truth has come out. He had to accept his commitment was towards Pakhi after she returned from Pulkit’s house when he stopped Sai from leaving the house because she had seen them at the pool talking about it. He had even told her that he has ended his commitment but he got carried away finding out about her feelings that he didn’t answer her questions.
Virat had changed so much that he could tell it directly to Pakhi that the waada cannot be fulfilled. He had progressed so much that he accepted that it was all an attraction directly to Pakhi than running away from answering Pakhi too. So much that he had said that they didn’t even share a past.
Now, he has accepted in front of the family too. He is a person who generally stalls certain things, avoids confrontation and even when he is ready to face it, fails to answer. He gets so overwhelmed that words get stuck in his throat.
And hence due to circumstances, he has been forced to face many things. That’s the only way to get things from him. He needs that push.
The first push was when Pakhi had expressed what was in her mind after he returned from GC. He had to be clear with her after that and hence had to come clean about their past, his feelings and waada.
The next push was when Sai confronted him after the pool incident and was about to leave the house. It made him tell her that he has ended his commitment.
Then came Samrat confronting him and he had to accept and apologise to Samrat in front of everyone.
Then came Pakhi’s desperation and her unreasonable expectations which made him tell her that it was only attraction and not even love. I am not sure if he was this clear with his words in the confrontation after he returned from GC.
Then came the push when Sai was upset and speaking to Shivani. He realised how hurt she was and that she would have chosen to leave the house if not for Samrat. He knows that if there was no Samrat, Sai also would leave. It pushed him yet again to come clean and tell in front of everyone about his part of the truth. He has told Sai even before that there is nothing but telling in front of the family and Pakhi means will create more impact. Sai won’t be thinking that he is lying and he has said something else to Pakhi. Now that it was cleared right in front of Pakhi, Pakhi can’t even claim again that he still loves her. And if she does, he has atleast cleared it from his end. He would have been able to do it only if it is the truth.
This is how Virat is. This guy functions this way. He is incapable of expressing or clarifying and so gets pushed to do it in some way or the other. It isn’t a deliberate or intentional move by him. Even now he is silent not because he doesn’t owe her answers but because it was difficult for him to explain even when there was no misunderstanding and confusion. Now that he knows what Sai thinks about him, he doesn’t know and doesn’t want to tread clearing it. He is not good at it.
Her indifference and inability to understand him or his feelings made him to decide to maintain distance with her. He doesn’t want to get carried away.
He is hurt that she keeps claiming that she is not interested or doesn’t care. It also wouldn’t be wrong for him to tease her or push her to accept whenever she says this because if she really doesn’t care, she shouldn’t be affected. He is still interested to know what she feels for him or if she is affected and that is why he is using this opportunity to not open up to her until she admits that it matters to her and why it matters to her.

Yesterday when he smiled in a few places that is exactly what I felt too. If he tells her what exactly Pakhi said she might go berserk and take some decision in haste without listening to what Virat told Pakhi and even if he says I love you she might think he is saying this because didi moved on 🤣. This is why I felt he was smiling in quite a few scenes when she was chatting away cutely ala angry wife .
He is basically walking on a 2 edged sword and I am liking this composed Virat since he finally understands the gravity of the situation he managed to create and what this has done to Sai's thoughts and her decision making skills. With the way she was ranting about what decision he took , what decision Pakhi took it was quite clear this whole meeting in the cafe and her getting a hint that Virat didn't reveal everything is hand holding were bothering her , so he was being more cautious not to extend the argument and didn't get mad at her. I am hoping he has done some introspection after the cafe kaand , how Sai reacted and what she told shivani.
@blue that's exactly what he was doing. He is still interested in her but he would not pursue her like he did earlier. He is going to push her buttons to make her question her feelings and confess so she doesn't have any further questions in her mind, does he still love Pakhi, is he only compromising with me etc etc😆
