Exactly !! They did not expect that Sai wont click much.. And like one of the cast members said, one of the greatest reason for the show to work is LUCK!!!

None talk great about Sai the character or for that matter Ayesha the actor.. Coming to that no mention of Ayesha's acting? Nothing , nothing at all? Great👏👏

Yup they must've thought audience would instead go crazy over the modern day Rekha character who keeps on pining for her lost love, like we are some romance novel reading teenage girls. And true least he could've done is praise Ayesha for making the character of Sai come to life with her natural and relatable acting, but I guess he didn't want to hurt his besties feelings.

You know I always had this feeling that the CVs of this show never intended to show Sai's straightforward nature as positive, instead I felt they wanted to antagonize her almost. That's why pretty much every character in the show would tell Sai to shut up every time she started showing them the mirror, even positive characters like Aai. But to their surprise audience actually loved Sai exactly for that reason.

I echo your thoughts.. The way the characters, the leads have always badmouthed Sai.. It looks the intention was something else..Its really unfortunate and weird at the same time that he had nothing to speak about the person who brings Sai to life!

Everyone in the cast says Ayesha is lucky...after a year of success if he credits Sai, I think some credit should be given to her.

It's not fair to keep saying she is lucky.

If he knows this fact from the beginning then why is he not showing it... by giving the actress playing her, the due importance she deserves...Why is somebody else trying to hog the limelight?

Why are they not concentrating on SaiRat scenes? Why this interview now?

Imagine all this while they kept propagating, the actors and everyone else Sai is badtameez , Patralekha is cultured respects others, Sai does not and when the show is actually working because of Sai being one of the reason, LO writer take the credit..Because actor ka kya she just got lucky and does nothing to make Sai work👏 Their blatant refusal to give this one credit.. When Sairat works for the audience , its TEAM WORK , when SAI works with the audience its WRITING.. And there is no contribution of the actor it seems..🤪

Ghum clicked for me because of Sai.. I accidentally watched one scene of Sai Vs trimurti then I was taken a back.. it is first time we are seeing a fl who is flawed like a normal human being.. She knows how to give it back who wronged her, she falls but bounce back ,she doesn't need her man to protect her always...

She mostly represents modern day teen ,she is like a breath in the fresh air ❤️

Meaning they meant to show her as something else entirely but audience fell in love with her character either way? It would explain why certain cast members and media people keep on calling Sai badtameez over and over again cuz that is what they intended to show. But to their surprise audience actually fell in love with a girl who gives it back to elders with interest no matter their age.

Reminds me of this clip I came across recently on IG where Sai comes back from college and does full on act of media expose on Chavan family and their reaction to her. Gosh I miss that fearless and blunt Sai Joshi

I also had the same feeling. I also felt are they trying to show her fierce nature in bad light! But I really love and miss that old sai.

I believe a large percentage of viewers started watching this for the very reason that Sai is not like the mahal bahu type, where she takes e everyone’s s*** calmly. It was refreshing to see a person giving back equally good. And also it was a nice change to see a supportive ML. I want see the growth of Sai as in KD. As I said earlier pp is needed for Sairat, but pp is there because of Sai. I loved the pp actor in KD.
