Sai too faced many insults from virat publicly be it ousting, manhandling or character assasination. But she never said I want to stay away from u because it is my answer to the insult u gave me. Difference between hurt & ego. It's okay if his ego got hurt but he should be honest about it instead of giving names like I'm freeing her in this relationship for her.

sometimes I wonder if the writer even knows the actual meaning of the term beizzatti & how its used in a sentence 🤔

TBH.. in our household, we used to nickname show which anyone of our household use to watch - for instance IPKKND was Kushi show, Diya aur baati hum - was bhaabo show, KKB was Pragya show, Anaamika was daayan show, Do hazaaron behnein was sister-sister show, BALH was Priya show or Golu show.. if mom was still around this show would've been the beizzati show 😆

I don't think Virat has an ego. This is why the beizzati line seemed out of place. He isn't staying away from Sai because his ego has been hurt, but rather because he feels as though she is better off without him and that he needs to protect his own heart now. His conversation with Sunny was really telling yesterday- he said that he has already ruined 3 lives and doesn't want to do any more damage. He feels guilty for ruining Sai's life, and after her harsh (but understandable) words on the anniversary, he feels as though he has no place left in her life. This marriage was never a deal to him, and to him, Sai has reduced it down to just that. He is too deep into his own emotions to be able to look past his own hurt to see through Sai's exterior and realize that she just needs him to clear everything up. He knows that she is misunderstanding him, which is why he was so broken when listening to her conversation with Samrat. But yet again, he is not understanding that all of this is tracing back to Sai's insecurities regarding the vaada, commitment, Pakhi, etc... Virat has made a lot of mistakes, and he is nowhere near perfect. But, in my opinion, ego is not something he has. He is overly emotional which leads him to being quite the opposite of self-aware and also oblivious to other people's sentiments... this is the main problem with him.

All of this is to say that if we look past the beizzati dialogue, it is quite clear to me that he isn't trying to take some kind of revenge on Sai for rejecting his love. Rather, he truly believes that he has no place in her life, she is better off without him, and he just cannot bear the pain anymore... I think there is a difference....

This is why I thought the beizzati dialogue was the wrong use of words... because if you look past it, his actions and other indications of his emotions really do say otherwise... it is killing him to try to distance himself from her too...

Anyways, let's see how this track plays out and how he acts... I really do hope that he does not behave in the way that Rono did in many scenes, because that, to me, will butcher his character...

No hopes from the makers though

I hope what u said is true. They showed him having flashback where sai talks about marriage being deal not her telling he is sailing on two boats. They need to be careful with dialogues.

Yes, I just responded to Nethra about the flashbacks. Virat was already deeply hurt even before the bedroom anniversary fight. He had already made up his mind to set Sai free. The bedroom fight just pushed him over the edge. He is hurt as a result of the anniversary trip as a whole... not because of that one dialogue. That is why the makers should have used another word there instead of beizzati... but again, they are sloppy beyond measure...
