Thoughts on namesake ACP Virat Chavan

My first ever thread on this forum. My first question is who the hell made this fool an ACP? Making & showing a character like him as IPS officer has been an embarrassment in itself. The guys believes any random letter without cross-check or fingerprint matching to check writing. Supports & trusts everyone else over his own wife he claims to be in love with, always asks for proofs to give certificate of her truthfulness, gives leeway to others, all his rage filled unreasonable misplaced untimed extreme outbursts are only reserved for Sai infront of his entire family but he's so lenient & turns a blind eye to his toxic family's evilness on a daily basis. I ship SaiRat chemistry and dynamics but Virat sucks so bad as an individual character. Terribly sketched & handled self-righteous crybaby obnoxious so-called male protagonist where other positive side characters like Mohit, Shivani & Ashwini are 1000 times more stan-worthy and understanding & supportive and trusts Sai more than Sai's own so-called husband! He's extremely problematic and patriarchal

Well initially he did believe it but later he did promise to reinvestigate. The CVS have forgotten logic and MLs profession while writing this track.
He is emotional when it comes to his family and goes blind to their faults. That part is annoying. Hope they write him better in the upcoming tracks.

But this track Sai is majorly at fault only for not trusting Virat with the truth and eloping a mentally unstable person even if it’s for the right reasons. She should have discussed it with him. But I sort of get why she didn’t aloe because of the promise and aai.

He reacts without verifying what actually happens when it comes to his family. I think even police officers are biased and blinded when it comes to family, just like doctors they shouldn’t be allowed to investigate their own family.

After this track hopefully he realises his family is not as good as he thought and be more stern than he already is.

His character is flawed like Sai’s and they balance each other out. He does care for and loves Sai but he can easily be manipulated by cunning folks. Hopefully separation helps him to trust her judgement as well.

I love Virat but he needs to be more firm with Pakhi and his family.

As I repeated many times, Virat has left his dimaag in GC because the Virat we saw in GC isn't the same in CN. 😆

I actually love Virat but the only thing I don't like about him is that all his anger is for Sai. Family can say and do anything he will say they are different but not wrong. He will scold Sai for taunting Pakhi but hardly say anything to Pakhi. Though lately he himself is pissed with Pakhi. And every time in anger he will say something next moment will act like nothing happened. 🤪

As an IPS officer he fails to do his job properly. I really hope to see the GC Virat back. This purane khayalat ke bete doesn't suit him.

Hey, I genuinely want to know that earlier when Virat said yes for Devi tai's wedding infront of the family, was he planning to take permission of bhavani, was he going to convince bhavani for the marriage because I didn't see any such scenes of thoughts or efforts from Virat's side. He said since devi and pulkit are adults, they can marry. Nobody considered Devi's mental condition at that point of time. Did I miss anything?

As an audience, we know it is wrong to get a mentally unstable person married without the permission of the guardian but the show is not considering that fact otherwise why would virat say that devi and pulkit are adults and hence are eligible for marriage. He should have said on the mahashivratri day itself that marriage can't take place because of tai's mental condition. His reason for No should have been Devi tai 's mental condition rather than pulkit's character which is secondary in devkit's case.

This is one of the most illogical track in GHK so far.

Forget how soft spoken he is at home and with his family, but they butchered the main thing he is known for - IPS officer, his investigation skills and duty. CVs did him bad. How can they show him do a shabby job?

Sai ka aur mat poocho, she took a wrong step knowing that it is wrong. Aise kaun karta hain?

She is wrong in this track, now to justify what she did, they will further make the ML look bad by making him do worse things than her.

Sometimes I feel Pakhi is not that intelligent that she can manipulate Virat to this extent.

How does she know so much about him given that they have hardly spoken to each other unless Kaku is feeding all this information and his weak points.

Can't wait for this non-sense to be over and Virat to find the truth.

Ya coz shes not "unstable" mentally. She onky has a comorbid psychiatric illness. So she does have capacity to make decisions for her own life.

Its a shame that logic is completely ghum from this show. So now we have to watch ott drama. Hopefully if they copy KD, we will see virat in GC bringing Sai back by end of next week hopefully. Kyunki this week they fight, next week he starts properly investigating again and by end of next week he will know the truth

Very well said!! Virat is a fantastic guy, but all his anger is for Sai. His family can get away with murder and his ex can get away with almost anything.

I want Birat to be mad at Sai and not forgive her easily, but upon realizing his family’s truth will he prosecute them? It’s only fair he punishes all of them equally. Pakhi should also be thrown out of the house for writing a fake letter in the first place. His family should be behind bars for so many crimes they have committed over the years.

So thank y'all for giving your opinion. But tell me honestly what Sai is supposed to do in this situation? She went for the best she could have come up at such situation. Virat is a big fat joke as an ML. And the kinda moron that he's, it won't take a moment to get fooled by Chavans why Sai should've waited for his reinvestigation only to go it back to square 1 all over again like it's currently happening? Like he's always been made a fool out of them. Ek jhooth se kisika bhala hota hai toh kabool hai aise hazaro jhooth. And what has he done for his sister all these years or even his mom after growing up? Knowing everything they've had gone through all these years? He continues to be a people pleaser & suck upto their tormentors. He's been a silent spectator. Gunah karne walon se zyada bada gunehgaar woh hote hai jo chupchap dekhte rehte hai sab galat jante hue. Virat really overestimate himself. He thinks he's way too righteous. Kaunsa pati khudki biwi jab taunt ke badle taunt deti hai toh use sunata hai oolta yahphir be on cordial terms with those who humiliates your mom & wife on a daily basis in your presence, you don't say a word and watch everything silently??? He's beyond spineless. I don't like him at all although I adore SaiRat dynamics together & I'm a hardcore Sai Joshi fanboi.

He really isn't a good ACP, is all I will comment now. I've already commented in the past how virat is so soft in his replies to his family when they are torturing, humiliating and insulting sai, yet when he gets mad at sai, he shouts at her right in front of that very same family of his who he is too soft with when it comes to reprimanding them. I said before too that if he's gonna be this soft with his family when it comes to calling them out for their wrong deeds, then he should also be soft with sai in front of that same family so as not to encourage their misbehaviour with sai, and then be more stern with her when alone in their room. Now to top it off he is the most incompetent acp.
