Sai and Virat's denial

The last few episodes have made me think a few things.

We have seen how Virat likes Sai, how he looks forward to spend time with her, how he sometimes gets mesmerised looking at her, seeks her attention, get disappointed with her for a few things. Virat always cares for her, has been wishing her well.

Sai too likes him, likes to spend time with him, cares for him, thinks about his welfare and sometimes get carried away and sometimes act indifferent.

Now about the realisation part:

Sai was made to think by Shivani Bua once. She acknowledged that girls who get Virat as husband are definitely lucky recalling a few memories.

She was then made to think by Aai during the alta incident too that it is all love and she questions herself if she loves him and denies it.

She thought about him on the rose day and blushed.

She again thought about him when Aai and Bua talk about how Virat loves her in Devi's room.

And again in the yesterday's episode she questioned herself and continues to stay in denial.

I agree that no one spoke to Virat except for Sunny about his feelings for Sai.

Virat seeks love, he wants Sai to love him, was clearly visible at the time he was applying medicine on Sai's foot. He did not think about his feelings for her.

When Sai asked Virat, why does it bother whenever Sai says that she is going to Gadchirolli. He asked himself and tells that she has become his habit.

In the recent episode when Sunny spoke to him, even then he said that he can't stay away from her and that he likes her a lot. He couldn't associate the word love even then.

Virat no longer considers this marriage as a deal, he never did in fact. He had left his past behind long time ago. He started to like Sai much earlier. I do understand that he thinks Sai doesn't like him, which I am not sure if he thinks that way even now. I also understand that he thinks that Sai likes to see this marriage as only a deal marriage.

But how any of these stop a person from accepting or acknowledging that he loves Sai?

We all do know that he probably is the first one to realise his love. But he has never questioned himself if he loves Sai. Is it because he had a past, which he has clearly moved on from. Is it because he is worried of a heartbreak because he already had one? What is stopping him to even associate his feelings with the word love?

Guys, can I request you all, not to bash any character, I only want it to be an analysis. I don't mean to offend anyone by using the word bash, we all bash them 😂😂.

i am not really sure but i think it has got to do with the fact that he thought he loved pakhi. but what he feels now is completely different from what he felt with pakhi. with pakhi it was just happiness that one feels when we know the one we like likes us back. but with sai he feels multitude of emotions. those are all at extremes, which is completely in odds with what he thinks himself to be or how he has been brought.

he has been brought up to be a calm and composed man who does not express his happiness, sadness or pain loudly and infront of anyone else. he was taught to be level headed . but the actual virat who comes out only infront of sai is a passionate man who demands, who shouts, who acts like a kid, one who can laugh loudly without getting conscious and the one who can express his disappointment . i think this is the reason why he has not yet been able to associate his feelings to love yet.

After reading your post .... One question arises.... Virat even now thinks, he just like sai and on Valentine's he said pakhi that he would never forget his promises.... So for a instance, let's assume sai goes to virat and tells him I love you and asks let's start this marriage as proper wife and husband, will virat accept?... I am not sure...he still has to fight with his own thoughts regarding promise like he did before marriage ( dream sequence)... Then only he will actually realize love... For that he needs a big blow, that is separation

@bold thanks for bringing this up. I had this doubt but I didn't want to even pen it down for some strange reason.

Whatever you have mentioned is the reason I made this post. So he doesn't want to think about it as love because he is confused. He is not able to name his feelings is what I felt. And this means that it is not a denial but instead failing to even recognize it.

Virat has no confusion regarding his feelings. It is quite clear from the banter he had with sunny; the challenge to confess his feelings for sai was accepted by him with all his mental faculty intact.

As far as Sai is concerned she has unconsciously fallen for Virat but is still in denial. She was a bit disappointed when she found that all the dance sequence between virat and her was just a figment of her imagination and that's why she wondered did she too like virat?

This 'too' is confusing me. Is sai aware of virat's feelings?

I don't know if it is the makers fault or the character Virat who hasn't even analysed his feelings. Did he even question to himself if it was love? I agree with whatever you have said for not figuring out his feelings, but why is he not questioning himself? Can this be a reason to not question himself too?

May be the makers want to show it only during separation.

@bold but he never said the word love, he spoke to himself in his mind too only about liking her.

Infact I found it very cute and funny yesterday when I thought, we can all see it as love and he still calls it like and on top of it, he also wanted to confess. Confess what? That he likes her? But that takes me back to what he was about to tell but the dancer's arrival interrupted his talk 🤦‍♀️.

About the "bhi", I had created another post, me and a few others think that it is probably a blooper. I don't think she has understood that he loves her, can be "like", but she would not think he loves her.

Virat almost said, “I love you” to Sai today. 🍒

Had there not been interruption from Sunny (first time) and drum rolls (second time), he would’ve confessed 🥳
