I like the basic story of GHKKPM - its layered and interesting. However, I feel that the screenplay is pathetic. So just for fun, I thought of changes in the screenplay that would make the show appealing instead of it being something that we tolerate for the sake of Sai or SaiRat.

These would be my changes:-

1. Make Pakhi and Virat as collegemates who liked each other but never confessed. They lose contact soon after graduation. But they constantly think of each other and try to reach out.

2. I don't like the whole 'vaada' plot. So let's change the scenario a little. Pakhi gets engaged to Samrat - when Virat is in training. Virakhi meet in Nasik Yoga Camp where Virat gathers the courage to finally propose to Pakhi. Pakhi is shattered and tells Virat that she is engaged. When Virat comes to know that she is engaged to Samrat, he backs away, even though Pakhi wants to end her engagement and marry Virat. NO VAADA PLEASE!!

3. Virat gets his posting in GC. Meets Sai and Kamal Joshi. Jagtap and Vithal are truly dangerous goons instead of the cartoonish ones we see.

4. Pakhi marries Samrat - why?? Either she is weak to go against her parents and break her engagement or she is majboor - may be because of an ailing widowed mother? Can build some layers to her character instead of the one dimensional caricature she has become.

5. Samrat comes to know of Virakhi's past. He maintains a distance with Pakhi and VIrat - and when he can no longer bear it, he rejoins duty after a month.

6. Virat marries Sai after her dad's death (although I prefer him not dying taking Virat's bullet). Virat nursing a heartbreak - tells Sai that he is only marrying her out of farz and to not expect anything else from him.

7. Chavans are a less loud, less crass. Their tortures are not OTT like in the show - but still effective.

8. More Sairat scenes to setup a gradual progression in their relationship.

9. NO DOMESTIC ABUSE by Virat - including his behaviour during alta track. 😔🤬

10. Chavans don't get whitewashed (which I'm sure will happen). The story is about Virat's gradual disenchantment with his family and seeing them for who they really are.

11. No on-off SaiRat love story. There can be lot of challenges but not like in KD - on-off drama.


Do you agree? What would be your changes? What would you leave as it is in the show? All perspectives welcome šŸ¤—

This is the exact story which comes in my dream.

I totally agree,just by adding a solid past of Virat and Pakhi,the story would be something else.

pakhi virat angle specially .. and her being already engaged to samrat .. as virat was in training.. he never saw the pic of the girl

Samrat leaves exactly after 2-3 days of wedding without consummation.... because pakhi cannot forget virat .. and calls him up as shown on tv

The first two points always bothered me. I still can't digest two days yoga love for which Virat agreed to stay forever alone. So yeah I would have definitely liked a different version.

Virat Sai GC angle is good

Yes. The 1.47 day yoga love is so 🤪. Even a pre-teen would not mistake this as love.

Pakhi continuing to stay in CN is a weak plotline though. Why would a girl whose husband is MIA stay on in her sasuraal?

see if we go by the theory that they liked each other in college.. then pakhi was tempted to stay on .. for virat only ..

Initially it is for samrat sake .. but as virat comes back with sayi .. she tries being a friend to virat .. remember she was one of the first people to talk about accepting Sairat


so she dresses up Sai just in the soap giving global gyan.. and all but when she sees them in suhag rat .. she loses it .. and starts developing grey shades..

she knows the real deal of shadi . So she feels there is a chance to drive a wedge between them and put sayi in hostel ..

Seriously, the characterization of the negative characters is the weakest point in the show. Listening to Chakram nivasis everyday is bound to make us either deaf or have a migraine attack. šŸ˜†

Pakhi will be more tolerable with grey shades.
