Is it deliberate?

Are the makers deliberately trying to butcher virat's character or was it always supposed to be like this?... He behaves like an idiot most of the time... He wasn't this irrational before.... Instead of speaking up he keeps silence even on smallest matters ... when the Chakrams were pouncing on him and sai for their supposed night out, he remained silent letting sai take over... Offering to go with pakhi on a 2 week long trip not thinking about the effects it will have on his relationship with sai or not being able to see through pakhi's so called maturity that too when she keeps exposing her real face .... Its heartbreaking to see a brilliant ips officer behaving like an idiot ... Is it deliberate to create more and more sympathy for the fl... In my experience, itv shows glorious period ends by 150 - 200 epis...Once that glorious period ends, downward spiral starts... Ml becomes bali ka bakra in most shows... Whatever character development shown so far will go down the drain... 100 episode mark is already crossed... Looks like more character butchering on the way.... That time is not far away when virat will be reduced to a furniture.

I think only after the sairat separation track Virat would be enlightened(at least hoping so), and all of this butchering is a build up leading to that track.

Actually it isn't to glorify female lead. It's for sole purpose of ensuring that the bad guys, in this case the male lead's family and the third wheel continue to get away with their misdeeds for as long as possible. This is a regular pattern on itv where the male lead barely takes any strict action against his family or vamps when they do or say something bad to female lead, yet does not hold back from taking strict action against female lead when he thinks she has done wrong. It's itv writer's tactic to ensure the villains who create all the drama do not endure consequences of their actions for as long as possible so drama continues.

I feel it's because of loose writing all this mess is happening , virat was always like patient guy act according to situation but today I agree i also expected him to take stand for his aai and bro but yah he was affected but didn't react as we expected at moment he is too much into his mission of getting is brother back home at any cost he even asked brigadier Sood for the same but get denied ab usko mauka mila ladakh janneh ka toh he will definitely utilise for his own purpose of finding his brother waham kuch malicious intentions nahi tah but yeah when kaku told him regarding enjoying over he was uncomfortable it was evident he also said something too regarding leave or something like that , but all his actions are being MU by both pakhi and sai , dilutional atma ko lagh rahi hai he is still in love with her and she is using all chances she get to stay with him , same time sai also Mu it as same but yeah she know he is also worried about his brother too , Virat tried to talk sense into batakti dilutional atma that day during their balcony convo looks like he needs to tell her more crystal clearly to pakhi pakhi aageh badho kyonki mein aggeh badh chukhi hoon and he needs to tell sai but he is emotional turmoil whatever he is feeling and also assure her that he now don't have any feelings for pakhi she is just a family member a friend bas ,

Mujhe virat nah ekdum volcano jaiseh laghrahi , agar phatega sabki sab jaljayega so may be that's why he is trying to not meddle but still he should have stopped them from insulting his mother and bro , well as per tracks uska volcano full activation separation phase mein hoga

Give me the GC wala Virat for God's sake😭

It's actually stupid though. He's an ACP yet acts so illogically that he thinks he can look for his MIA army officer brother when actual qualified army personnel and trained teams are not able to find him, unless he thinks the army aren't looking enough? Where and how will he find samrat when the army are unable to find him? He actually isn't thinking straight. Brigadier Sood was right that virat isn't even qualified to be able to search samrat and should leave it to the trained teams.

About being numb, even I have issues with that. I like the fact that Sai can defend herself but sometimes we want to see him take her side too as a husband.

About the trip, I think even though he knows Pakhi still loves him, he knows that it won't be a romantic trip from his side. As a friend Pakhi needs fresh air and he will help in that and that's why he didn't mind taking Sai too. He isn't thinking about Sai's reaction as he thinks they aren't real pati patni.

Yes its a long way before love realisation r anything... Its this current irrational behaviour that's the problem... He wasn't like this in gc or even after moving to Nagpur.... The current behaviour does not go well with the character sketch.

Itv works that way... But here virat was shown as something different... He had a mind of his own who would pick up his battles carefully... The same virat who assured his support to his bua and even questioned pp for standing there as mere spectator... That virat is nowhere to be seen now.
