Karishma has her own set of flaws. She's unreliable and unpredictable but not delusional like Patralekha. She's understandable unlike the elder vahini who's utterly unbelievable, a mere figment of her dreamlike state. May be Karishma didn't feel Sai's pain the other day but she at least understands the fact that the task (stone grinding masala) can be painful for anyone!
Sometimes I feel sorry for her condition in that house though I don't support what she does. She's almost the same age as Sai may be bigger by a year or two and Patralekha is much older. Sai is intelligent and has the courage to fight for herself and her well-wishers and Virat too is caring and supportive.
Karishma doesn't seem to be educated well enough to lead an independent life (kaku didn't mention Karishma and Sonali's educational qualification like she did for herself and Pakhi while taunting Ashwini on just being a 12th pass) Also she isn't interested in studies (remember what she said to Pakhi when she offered her to join with her in reading the novelš) Moreover her husband Mohit has no respect from Kaku and gang so expecting him to stand by her is too much.
What all she does is her way to survive in that toxic atmosphere. Sometimes it clicks and sometimes it backfires on her. š
