Not a response to your post Janki (main woh pehle kar chuki) but more like venting/speaking my heart on what I thought abt the episode post :) â¤ď¸
I finally gave in and watched the episode. Virat was completely delusional today. He supported his mom but also rebuked her the same. There have been times when I have also been mean to my mom but it has never been publicly in front of my entire family. This is where Virat is wrong, does he truly respect his mother in all essence? If so, would he have ever rebuked her in front of the family?
In that one moment where he asked her that her taking Sai's side is because she tells off Ninad and Kaku, he not only implied that he's fully aware of the lack of respect, consistent abuse and ZILAT his mother faces in the home everyday. But he also admitted that he's just been silently watching it all unfold??? Like what kind of regressive OTT and out of character nonsense is this LOL.
He supported Kaku bc he did want Sai to apologize, but what did he want her to apologize for? She's never rude to people who are nice to her which he knows. However, the family constantly insults her and even today threatened to hit her, how can anyone stay quiet!? Just bc she's straight forward and doesn't mince her words, she's rude? Pakhi didi was gloating at Virat yelling at Sai. Everything she said was actually all that she was feeling - she was indeed jealous and all of the above. One question that even got Virat thinking was "kya yeh sunegi tumhari baat?!" the answer is no, even here Sai is not going to listen to Virat. And rightly so. I honestly don't know what to make of this episode. It just seemed like Virat was irrational to me, unable to think or process things clearly. He was standing there the entire time realizing he did make a mistake when everyone started pouncing at his mom and Sai - too late for that.
Absolutely, Virat was incredibly irrational in this argument. While I understood his anger and even his POV in their argument the night before in their room, this episode was just ?? None of his logic made sense and it was almost like he was arguing with Sai for the sake of arguing. As if to show that yes he does have control over his wife's action or that Sai actually does respect him and look to him. This entire argument on his side was like he was slipping from control, the thread that unravelled when he heard her speak to Amey, now transforming to something else entirely, something he isn't even aware of. He keeps arguing that Sai doesn't know how to talk to people when it just comes off crass and cruel to argue with her when he entered the conversation part way like a fool.
I don't understand why he suddenly wants Sai to change her speaking style, he usually supported her...I will also reiterate Ashwini's question to virat, you have always been supporting her then why suddenly you are not supporting her? Mind you, he has almost always gotten the situation under control even when Sai has spoken up. In such a way that she took the back seat and let him do the talking. What was the sudden switch? does he want her to take back her words to Amey so asking her to change? Is it about what was said to Amey or the elders? He is hiding behind the veil of elders to make her say sorry to him actually for what she said to Amey (so it seemed - honestly I have no idea what Virat was thinking).
I honestly don't have any idea of what Virat was thinking either LOL. His angle was that Sai doesn't know how to speak to her elders, and it was like he was trying to get through to her on a very personal level. I will say I actually loved their argument in their bedroom. Virat's frustration was clear and it was actually a lot of fun to see him unravel from his usual calm/cool persona. But what transpired in this episode was none of that. It made no sense and truthfully his frustration from the night before bleeding into this argument made no sense to me either. The writing was INCREDIBLY choppy, inconsistent and dated. But this is what that they get for ripping whole scenes instead of being creative.
Is it really jealousy? Virat didn't look so jealous or worked up about Amey issue today...honestly, I don't understand this sudden change. Mujhe jealousy nahi laga. Mujhe bas ek irrational insaan laga who doesn't understand what his values and principles are. He talks abt vaadas but it's his wife who actually fulfills the vaadas that she keeps ..without the tadi of "paki zubaan" lol as we saw today with what Sai said abt her vaada to Pakhi, which she did fulfill otherwise, Pakhi would be somewhere crying right now lol
Sai is the only one in this zoo that has been consistent with her promises and the only one who has kept them. And I agree - to me it did not read as jealousy. He was uncomfortable, and he was upset but at times it seemed like he was upset with her for crossing a boundary that .. actually doesn't exist LOL. He married her as his farz, and told her to not expect anything from their marriage. In anger he has asked her who she is to interfere in his family's matters. But when he's nice suddenly she has to own up to her role and apologize to everyone in the family? And now that she has rightfully stood up for a member of the family, he has an issue with a) the idea that he KNOWS his family will lose their minds, but also b) the implied boundary she's crossed because he didn't like the way she spoke with Amey. Idk, I just think Virat needs to make up his mind. Because Sai, for all intents and purposes, has tried very much to be accepted by his family but none of them want her so why should she even try?
This entire family says something but does something. Sai says what she does. Virat needs to even learn from her ...
ABSOLUTELY!
Can I also add that yes while sometimes I don't agree w Sai's tone, I think that as an 18 year old who just lost their father who meant the entire world to you, if you place her under such stressful situations where she hasnt had the time to cope, she will react in the way Sai is because everyone is being mean to her. Instead of asking what Kamal sir has taught Sai, maybe Virat needs to consider where she is and what has JUST recently happened w her. If he is doing so much, her dad gave his life to save him! Why isn't this brought up as often as jangli mulgi or batameez is? Or Virat talking abt his zimmedari or "Sai virat does so much for you, cant you do this much for him or is she worth it" stuff? Someone needs to show Virat an ainaa. lol.
Sai is gonna need hella therapy because of this zoo LOL. @ bolded EXACTLY!! LMAO. Idk these contradictions in his character just truly seem out of place and it's obvious these writers don't know if they should rip from the tamil or bengali version of this show.
I enjoyed watching the episode lol but i didnt understand the point of it...like pura time we saw people taunting and yelling at Sai, was there a point to this? If so, makers point kya tha? Usually in tamasha we see one point, character shows true colors, etc etc...so was the point to show Virat's naya andaaz that he was hiding? Bc honestly, Virat has a long way to come for me. I thought he was who he showed and said he was...apparently not. I want Sai to think and think real hard before falling for him (which she already has but I think she will never say it bc of her self respect, her vaada (she promised virat she will never come in between him and pakhi), and his "deal" urf zimmedari.
So please tell me what was the point of this episode and so much hard work of the cast? lol
ps. does the CVs visit this forum..? Woh log hi baata dein lol
First I loved your post because lmao my feels exactly. Second CVs kya batein gein, unhe khud nahi pata kya karr rahe hain LOL. Just want to see Amey get arrested and Virat owning up to this very weird OOC yelling trip he's been on because it doesn't make sense LOL. It truly doesn't.
