Yes they thought of dividing it immediately after division but due to infrastructure and logistical problems they decided to continue with the same for few years. The headquarters is in Hyderabad.

This border has also got significant naxal attacks. Many kidnaps of officials happened in Odisha and chattisgarh !!!!!

Octopus is anti-terror unit not anti-naxal for AP but it mostly wastes manpower on providing security to politicians. 🙄

AP's octopus used to function from Maharashtra but they have shifted to their home state now.

It is one of the most dreaded postings in Maharashtra because of the sheer risk involved in dealing with naxals. It's far from that. It's much graver than that. It's almost like being at war on the border when an officer is posted in Gadchiroli. There is a paramilitary-like special commando force that the incharge officer has to lead, which is in direct line of attack from naxals. It is called the C60 commandos and it comprises of local tribals who have been trained and inducted to fight.

I found the Gadchiroli ki ladki comment as a very unnecessary one and highly insensitive to the people over there. It's the fault of the makers that they have used such a false depiction of a place just because everyone may have heard of Gadchiroli as being a 'dangerous' place. I wish they could have done a better job with explaining what's so dangerous about Gadchiroli or then just named it any other place ... Gundas like Jagtap and Vitthal Mane are everywhere. It could have well been Chinchpokli in Mumbai or Solapur or Aurangabad to be honest.

There is no such reference point that one can justify this Gadchiroli ki ladki hoon wala comment.

Also, according to Kamal Joshi, he was posted in Gadchiroli three years ago and that's when Jagtap began harassing Sai. So how does she become Gadchiroli ki ladki anyway ? Her father was in a transferrable job and they must originally belong to some other place. It's a blooper and a very intentional misinterpretation.

@bold first i didn't knew about it. I believed what omi says in the show that its infamous for goons, gangwar but when i watched a web series based on naxals set in gadhchiroli, i came to know about it and then after that whenever they say something about gadhchiroli in the show i really cant help but laugh at their stupidity.

Is sai really gadchiroli ki ladki?... I mean isn't it mentioned that kamal sir got posted there 3 years ago.... And tabse hi jagtap was after sai.... Was it ever mentioned that gadchiroli is their native place? 🤔

Gadchiroli is a "red corridor", predominant naxal maoist area bordering with states like Chattisgarh and Telangana, it is supposedly a huge forest area, natural resources with lot of tribal population ... I guess ppl there are supposed to very strong and daring .. as they have to fight the natural calamities and then the local social issues with basic instincts and the "red corridors" are considered to less developed areas so the local ppl strive and solve their issues ..

here I think she meant she is "daring and gutsy" to fight them , that's the only reference I can draw it's nothing to do with tez, shrewd or shaatir dimaag, it's more of never give up and fight till the end attitude .

While I watched the first episode,I was delighted knowing the Gadchiroli background it has...I expected some action drama involving the naxals blended with a love story...had it been that it would have been such a unique plot😔but alas it turned out be something else😒
