Gadchiroli ki ladkiyan : what sai meant by that

Firstly I should clear I m asking it in a general terms that what sai meant by Gadchiroli ki ladkiyan poore Maharashtra mein famous hoti hain .

I have heard people saying Delhi Mumbai ki ladkiyan bahut tez hoti hain where delhi is capital of India & mumbai is financial capital of India.

I had read of Gadchiroli that it's forest district of Maharashtra , so do Gadchiroli hold some special significance in Maharashtra cities like Mumbai , kolahapur , nasik, nagpur etc. Vaise whole Maharashtra stand for its valour & courage.

I belong to Lucknow , this city popularly known as nawabo ka seher for its culture & hospitality.

What sai actually meant ? Or its said in general terms .

I don't think it has any meaning...it was just to create drama

True, I had that question too, what she meant, or may be she intended, because GC is a smalltown, doesnt mean we are any less.

It was an over the top, unnecessary reference. I actually got hooked on to this show because I thought they had some really interesting story about an IPS officer in Gadchiroli posting. It is one of the most dreaded postings in Maharashtra because of the sheer risk involved in dealing with naxals. But the way they have turned the whole Gadchiroli angle into an irrelevant issue is so appalling. I don't think the makers even have the slightest idea what it is like in Gadchiroli that they keep making these racist comments about "junglee" people (refering to the tribes) and the whole thing about being 'khatarnak gunde mawali' wali posting as Omkar keeps mentioning. It's far from that. It's much graver than that. It's almost like being at war on the border when an officer is posted in Gadchiroli. There is a paramilitary-like special commando force that the incharge officer has to lead, which is in direct line of attack from naxals. It is called the C60 commandos and it comprises of local tribals who have been trained and inducted to fight.

I found the Gadchiroli ki ladki comment as a very unnecessary one and highly insensitive to the people over there. It's the fault of the makers that they have used such a false depiction of a place just because everyone may have heard of Gadchiroli as being a 'dangerous' place. I wish they could have done a better job with explaining what's so dangerous about Gadchiroli or then just named it any other place ... Gundas like Jagtap and Vitthal Mane are everywhere. It could have well been Chinchpokli in Mumbai or Solapur or Aurangabad to be honest.

There is no such reference point that one can justify this Gadchiroli ki ladki hoon wala comment.

Also, according to Kamal Joshi, he was posted in Gadchiroli three years ago and that's when Jagtap began harassing Sai. So how does she become Gadchiroli ki ladki anyway ? Her father was in a transferrable job and they must originally belong to some other place. It's a blooper and a very intentional misinterpretation.

Even in Andhra we have something called greyhounds. I am utterly disappointed by the way writers used GC

And Vittal mane and jagtap are almost in every place of India . I really don't understand the whole concept of choosing GC of all places. If makers are creative enough they could have got wonders from that place 😭😭😭

Yes greyhounds now must be part of Telangana and AP has got a Special Operations Group SOG. In fact Gadchiroli got affected by naxal activity owing to its proximity to Andhra Pradesh several decades ago. It was from Andhra that naxalism spread over to Gadchiroli. It has been some of the worst attacks on policemen

SOG is a Odisha govt's agency. Greyhounds is managed by both telangana and AP govt's with headquarters in Hyderabad. Greyhounds and OCTOPUS both are not divided yet I guess !!!!! Ohh yess there were many worst attacks at that border

Ok you are right. They haven't divested Greyhounds of the operational rights in AP (just checked with an expert 😉) but it's base is Telangana now. AP also got a STF (Special Task force) additionally to divide their police assets and keep vigil.

Yes Odisha has an SOG and Chhattisgarh is waiting to get its much promised Black Panthers set up.

Octopus is anti-terror unit not anti-naxal for AP but it mostly wastes manpower on providing security to politicians. 🙄 AP's octopus used to function from Maharashtra but they have shifted to their home state now.

Gadchroli is a small town near Nagpur, which is also known for being naxal hit area. In India, more police/CRPF lose their life in these naxal attacks then the terrorist on an yearly basis. Last biggest naxal attack on Maharashtra police took in this place only. Google it.

Now coming to GC Ki ladkiyan, being an area of low income group, mostly tribal lives here, who have to encounter the notorious naxals on regular basis. May be she meant, every GC girl is brave as they know how to deal with these notorious rebels called naxalites.
