VIrat understands everything but knows how to get his way around

I just caught up on all the episodes, forwarded some very nasty scenes of the family towards Sai.

I just saw the scene where Virat tells her to take his family as a challenge in order to get her to stay. Here's what I thought of the scene.

When Virat saw Sai sitting and doing the work, though he didn't react like all of us, it was evident that he did not want or would have liked her to work. When he told her to do work that the family members want and to take them as a challenge when she said she's leaving and staying in hostel, he said and did what he could/knew will make Sai stay...essentially manipulated her in his way to get her to stay, I am not sure why. He said bc he wants to see her journey but it may be more than that. He talked around his words to get her to stay however, when Sai talked around her words to tell him she knows he likes/loves Pakhi, he said "ghum phir ki baatein meri samaj nahi aati". Thing is, he understands everything, what the family or Pakhi is doing, he just acts or chooses not to say or do anything extreme bc thats not his character at all. He is extremely diplomatic and always has been. He even chose the no Pakhi route w Pakhi when it came to his family ...thing is he can't stop from choosing Sai over everyone else bc he wants to be a part of her journey...bc "sai khaas hain"

He knows when Sai says things to him indirectly but pretends he isnt aware and will only be if people talk straight with him. He understand's Pakhi's taunts too but tell her "what are you trying to say, i dont get it.." Sai and him are so different. He understands without people telling him anything and talks straight w people. However, she can be easily manipulated by the ones she loves/admires. He is diff where he is aware of everything but only puts his energy ..minimal energy where needed. He is a man of few words but does a lot and says a lot with his actions as well.

I think he is well aware of how his entire family is but chooses to not open his eyes or get involved sometimes ...he's very diplomatic and tries to make everyone happy. Even when his dad is yelling at him..he asks question back "kya galat kiya mane?" he knows what his dad is trying to say but wont react unless things are said very clearly to him ...
