Chavan is a maratha surname. Marathas are the khshatriyas, I have heard Bhavani harping about 96-kuli maratha caste which is supposed to be the highest of all marathas in Maharashtra.

Joshi is a Brahmin surname. So Sai is brahmin.

Normally, in any Indian family a inter-caste marriage is frowned upon, unless they are modern/know the girl/boy well in advance. Here the Chavans already have Shivani, but I do not know if there is any backstory there.

Do you think this would be issue for Sai? Was there anything in the original show about this?

Karishma is Sindhi girl.

She married Mohit in a court marriage.

I was sure that since SaiRat are.getting married with Chavan family's.permission but they would have a tradriinal.marriage so that Bhavani wouldn't taunt Sai.

Now if we see the Hindu caste system Brahmins top Vaishya Kshatriya and Shudras.

So technically Sai is of a higher caste than Chavan family.

Brahmins maybe higher but 96 kuli Marathas are proud people. They don’t consider themselves any less. Ask me because I am one of them😉😀😀

Yes if the chavan’s already have so many before Sai, they would/ should not have any issues with her.

Bhavani kaku is gonna fall.flat on her face if she compares Pakhi the Maratha girl to Sai the Brahmin girl.

The strength, resolution, commitment, respect, honour Sai possess Pakhi doesn't have 1/10th of it.

Thanks, I agree.

I don't know if/how I have offended anyone, as my original post clearly states if the caste difference was intentional and if/how it was handled in the original show. If there was nothing of this sort in the original show, then this might just be an oversight from the CVs and we won't see anything on it further.
