This post is regarding today's episode.
When Usha Mausi asked Sai if she thanked Virat for saving her, I thought here we go again. The standard heroine-misunderstands-the-hero-but-later-he-saves-her-and-she-is-forever-indebted-to-her. I thought Sai would immediately shed all her anger and frustration towards Virat just because he saved her. But thankfully that didn't happen and she was firm in what she believed. I am not saying what she believes is right. But if you think from her side, Aaba was all she had and from the very beginning, all she wanted was to go to Nagpur with her Aaba but Virat asked him to cancel his VRS. She's just a kid and has lost her father. Her anger is justified. And I am so glad the CVs made Sai stick to that anger, at least for now. There wasn't gratitude that Virat gave his blood. There was just disgust that he had to save her.
This may not seem like such a big deal but over the years, I've seen countless so called strong female leads become becharis at the smallest gesture of the hero. I am thankful that the CVs haven't gone down that path yet. They're writing Sai in a way in which she's true to character.
