Chapter 8
"Aaahhh!!!!..." The vigorous scream reflected all the way in the dark forest. I smirked inwardly hearing the sound. Even though I fired the bullet in darkness but it hit the bull's eye.
"Arey ke hoo gaya?!!" Jagir's voice could be heard in darkness.
"Jagir Sarkar!!... Chintu ko goli lag gaya!!" I heard some voice answering.
"Nikammo!!... bhul gaye woo Rangeela hain!!... Andhere mein bhi sab kuch dekh sake!! Soong ke nikalta hain apne shikaar ko!!" Jagir's frustrated voice heat my ear and my satisfactory smirk spread. At the moment, I felt a little grip on the shirt over my arm. Curiously I looked at side and found Meera griping on my shirt and looking worriedly towards the other side of road. For the first time she seemed really worried.
"Dar lag raha hain?!!..." I asked with a comical chuckle. She looked towards me with worried eyes without saying anything.
"Daro mat!!... kuch nahin hoga tumhe!" I said with a determined voice hoping that it would lessen her worry. She looked towards me with bit baffled eyes as if I had been saying something unbelievable. As I looked silently to those bewildered eyes I fell into some trance like always. There was an odd silence around. I should have been alerted, but to my bad luck I was not. When I sensed the footstep behind that was bit late before I could retort, I sensed the metallic touch of gun behind my head. I quickly looked back and found Jagir's 32 all out nasty grin just behind me. His gun was just inches away from my forehead. Not just him but we were surrounded with the gunmen around and all of their guns were pointed towards us.
"Kyun be Rangeele?! Akhir fass gaya mhare jaal pe!!!" Jagir said with nasty grin.
I quickly looked around and glanced towards the guns pointing towards us.
"Dekh kya raha hain?!... Uth.. Khara hoo!!" Jagir said with loud voice waving his guns in arrogant manner. I looked towards meera and at that instant she looked back towards me with fear and question in her eyes. I indicated her to obey jagir's order and grabbed her hand tightly in mine. She instantly threw an angry glance towards me. I pressed her palm within my hold and indicated her to tame her anger for a while. To my good luck she understood and stayed quite.
"Ek dusre koo ghurna bandh karo aur khare hoo jao... Jaldi!!" Jagir's voice again hit my ear. We both stood up slowly.
"Abb rangeele... apna bandook niche rakh!!..." Jagir said again. I stood reluctantly and searching for an idea in my head to get out of the situation.
"Abey rakh niche... warna abhi s**a yahin bhoon dalega!!" Jagir's voice raised.
"Aaap bhi namunaa hoo..." I couldn't stop passing a sarcastic comment looking around. Aap sab 10-12 log aur sab ke pass bandook hain... Aur mhare hatho mein bas ek hi bandook hain...fir bhi aap log mhare se dar rahe hoo?!!" I finished with a chuckle.
"Eee... jyada dialogue na maar... Manne pata hain kit thara dimah kitna tez chalta hain... Abhi bandook niche rakh warna..." Jagir's loud voice still sounded comical to my ears.
"Kya Jagir Malik!!" I chuckled again, "bachpan se goli aur bandookon se khel khel ke bara huya hoon main!!.. Abhi aap mhare koo bandook dikhake dara rahe hoo?!!"
A savage anger passed by jagir's eyes after my words indicating that he was mad enough.
"Tanne banduk se dar naa lage naa?!... Par iss chori nee to lage hain?!!" he smiled wickedly and pointed his gun towards meera instead of me boiling my blood in instant.
"Eee Jagir Ji!!!..." I growled covering up meera, "Himmat hain too mhare pe goli chalao... par iske sath kuch kiya too aap mein see ek bhi idhar se zinda laut ke naa jayega!!" as I moved my eyes towards everytone with determination to kill all of them they literally backed up some few steps with fear in eyes.
Suddenly to all of our surprise, meera moved forward getting out of my coverage. I fiercely grabbed her hand not to let her go. She stopped for a moment and twitched her head towards me. The fire and confident in her gaze literally caught me. Without shifting her gaze from mine she freed her hand slowly from my grip and looked towards Jagir and co.
"Jagir ji!!" her voice sounds literally sarcastic and her lips containing a smirk. I was amused again seeing her standing fearless in front of that bunch of gunmen. "Jisdin see iss gaon mein maine kadam rakha hain tab se maut ka khel khel rahi hoon main!!... meri jine ki chah too maine apni maa aur didi ke chita ke aag ke sath hi jala diya tha... marne kaa dar hota too yahan aap logon se jung larne nahin ati main!! So please iss bandook aur goliyon se mujhe dara ne ki koushis mat kijiye... aap se nahin hoga!!" she finished with a cinfudent chuckle. Jagir literally stumbled seeing her confidence.
"Bahut bolne lag gayi hain tu!!" Jagir suddenly grabbed her by her hair with her all force.
"Eee...!!!" I was about to attack on Jagir but two man suddenly grabbed my arm from both side. I was about to kick them out but Jagir's voice alerted us.
"Rangeele!!" I almost froze as I found meera imprisoned in Jagir's arm and the gun was pointed directly to the side of her forehead. "Agar zara si bhi ulta sidha harkat kiya naa too iss chori kaa bheja ud jayega!! Chup chap mhare admion ke sath chal!!"
I literally fumed in the hold of those god for nothing man. I could have easily knocked them down but for meera I had to hold on. I literally felt annoyed for her stupid step. Why the heck she got close to that lizard Jagir.
A sudden sound of laugh from meera's mouth confused us. We were literally in shock seeing her laughing like hell imprisoned in Jagir's captivation and a fully loaded gun aimed towards her.
"Eee... bawli hoo gayi ke?!!" Confused jagir twisted her by grabbing her hair and made her look to him. My shocked face was fixed towards meera. Her eyes were literally glowing in something. Suddenly her right hand moved up and literally crushed on Jagir's neck and suddenly something happened and Jagir crushed on the earth with a vigorous scream holding the side of neck where meera touched. Even in the darkness I could see blood oozing from the place and drenching his fingers. I looked towards Meera for in daze for a while and saw her confident face smirking towards Jagir's wide eyed expression. The girl was more dangerous than I actually thought and it literally made me smirk. The men were already destructed by Jagir's condition. So I instantly kicked out those men who were holding me and quickly took out the smoke bomb from my pocket which I kept for emergency. As I threw the smoke bomb the smoke covered up the area and the gunmen became confused. I had already marked meera so I just grabbed her hand and dragged her with me towards the dark forest away from them...

I literally huffed when Rangeela stopped at the tree shade far away from the road. We were already inside the dense forest and I couldn't detect anything in darkness. We could only here each other's heavy pants as we rushed like hell to get away from them. As I crushed on the dry leaves of forest ground and slowly found my composure I felt the liquid in my hand. I slowly lifted my hand and even in the darkness I could see the trace of jagir's blood in my hand, and the safety pin still in my hand which I pocked on his skin to make him lose his sense for a while.
During her days in medical college, didi did a project on acupuncture where I helped her too. We used to discuss about the sensible points on human feature. If something like little sharp needle is invoked on such points, it causes several effects on human. Some points are to make people lose their sense for a while, some points could cause paralysis and some points can lead people to ultimate death. I never thought that I would apply that knowledge in such way. Suddenly I felt like sobbing in some deep grievances. Yes I loathed those people like anything but still I was not the cold blooded murdered like them. It still hurts me, seeing blood in my hand. I didn't killed Jagir, just applied some tricks where he would got paralyzed. I didn't actually know that how I got the courage to perform such deadly task. I suddenly felt the darkness around me was melting. As I looked up I found the quarter moon peeping form the behind of cloud and the wild forest looked suddenly fascinating.
I suddenly remembered rangela's presence at my side. I slowly looked up to him and found him looking towards me with that deep lumber gaze. Though it was tough to understood his expression fully in the dim light, I could feel the depth in his gaze.
"Thank you!!" I said with tired voice. He literally saved me today from those men's clutch. I didn't know why but after long I was feeling like I could actually trust Rangeela. Dunno how I developed the feeling though.
"Ek baat batao... Jagir ke sath kya kiya tumne?!!" he asked in curious voice. I lifted my hand and showed her the safety pin. He looked a little confused and I explained the acupuncture thing.
A crooked smile appeared in his face for no reason and suddenly his gaze caught an odd admiring look which, I wouldn't deny that gave me a slight chill in nerve.
"Is mein hasne wali kya baat hain?!" I asked with curious voice.
"Naah... kuch nahin!!" he suddenly said wincing as he twisted his hand and I remembered that the bullet hit him in that place.
"Tumhe too goli lagi hain!!" My hand automatically reached to check out his wound.
"Nahin!... Lagi nahin!!.. Chooke nikal gayi!!" he informed twisting his hand with painful wince again.
"haan too.. dono mein fark kya hain?!!" I asked with quite annoyance.
"fark hain!!.." he chuckled slightly, "Agar lagti to abhi chakoo sse nikalna parta... abhi bas patti bandh ne se kaam chal jayega!!" He said so normally as if it didn't even matter. Well he had raised up between guns and bullets and I forgot that.
"Very funny!!... Tumhe har baat mazak lagti hain naa!!..." I couldn't finish my word as his hand suddenly pressed over my mouth again followed by his hissing voice. Before I could react out of shock I could feel the sound of leaves crushing several footsteps behind.
"Kutte ki tarah sungte huye idhar bhi aa gaye!!" Rangeela hissed at my side. I understood that the danger was not over yet. He quickly dragged me towards a side and I followed him without a word. We moved making less noise as much as we could.
