I don't think Karan/Dev would lie about anything. If they had found Ranbir to be Bhavishya, they would have just told everyone. just like they brought up the truth about Kajri.

Thanks kruthi for the update.I still think Ranbir is Bhavishya.
When he learnt that karan,Saras & dev are investigating this, he must have made a pact with Kajri to fool garodias.Kajri-Bhav(Garodia enemies) are together in this.

I agree with Priyav 100%. Bhavishya would have realized that they are investigating on him and so they are all trying to make them fool. Because blaming it on Kajri will not make any difference to them as they dont care to be hated.

I am sure this is going to be a different topic after the wedding. they will have few episodes on their problems and then solving them.
