Ghar Ki Lakshmi actress threatens to quit

High profile Television actress Nupur Alankar has threatened to quit the Zee TV serial Ghar Ki Lakshmi Betiyaan if her character is not given meatier storylines.

Nupur plays the happy-go-lucky mother-of-one Halki, and has been in the serial from episode one, but her recent lack of screen time and no good storylines has made her take this drastic action. She has warned the makers and has given them a deadline by which her character should have more of a role to play.

If Nupur does leave the serial, then it would be the third time she has done it, with Saath Phere and Karan Apna Apna being the other two.

I hear she's a very talented actress. Honestly, she should leave the show and go where her talents will be utilized and grown. Her role is minor on GKLB, and honestly there's not much that can be done to build her into a major character.

Sorry to potentially see her go. But, at the same time, happy that something better will find her.

I actually back her decision because honestly...rather play a character saying or doing something than be one in the background for no good reason. Even if she is being paid for nothing I wouldn't even work then because I would feel as if I am being paid for not doing anything..I would feel bad because I wouldnt have accomplished anything. So I understand and support her decision....of course I am no actress so what do I know right? LOL!

she should have known when she first signed the serial that her character would just be on the sidelines. the obvious heroines are the daughters and what would make her think that she would have some major role.

Nupur Alankar plays Halki.

Not surprising to hear she wants to leave, she, Phulki, and Hasmukh don't really have much of a role. Wonder if they'll replace her character, or they will kill her character.
