Yes, I agree with you in this instance. Savitri has morphed into a JELLO-like character, with instability, no lucidity, no inner strength, no reason. This is not the Savitri we knew before although it's not that much of a departure--quiet but principled and honest about what to do. But, as I write this, I think Savitri never had strength; she was too subservient as per role as bahu of the house. Think back and you'll see that her daughters support her; even when sisters and Savitri were convincing Lakshmi to marry Karan, Savitri said a few things softly, but it was the sisters who led the charge. I am not a huge fan of parents depending on children all the time for support. Please don't misinterpret: I belive children should help their parents, but I think parents also have a responsibility to their kids early on in life and
Savitri allowed not only herself but her daughters to be disrespected and look down upon. This is why I don't like her. Forget the holier than thou, honesty, religious and other things attributed to her.
Sorry I went on and on. To answer your question directly, she does ask a lot of God but noone else, and I think once in a while they should show her quickly walking to the temple, telling Bhagwan how she's been a devotee, and now it's time for him to help. I think one should always go to Bhagwan, thinking about situations, finding peace, sharing thoughts with Bhagwan. And yes, you can ask for a favor once in a while, we all do it. But for Savitri to ask Bhagwan for help is perplexing. I mean didn't God send Karan to help and they turned him down? What do you want from God, a check payable to Savitri in the amount of Rs. 50 lakhs. Bless my daughter as she goes to Bombay, please let her win......it's endless.
