Banner Contest-Post Updated Pls Read

Its been decided that the final deadline for the contest is 21 March 2007. There will be no further extension of this date.

Banners that have already been submitted need not be resubmitted. Voting will commence on Friday, 23 March 2007.

Dear members

Further to my earlier posts, please note a decision has been made not to post the entries for the banner contest due to a lack of interest.

We received only 7 banner submissions, to make a real success of the contest, we will need, at a minimum, about 15-18. Other sections receive as many as 23 banner entries!

Therefore, we have two options:

Extend the banner contest for another few weeks, only if there are other members who will participate in the contest, or
• Cancel the current banner contest and hold it at a later date (when the show is more popular.)

The decision will be made in consultation with members so please post your views HERE. A sincere thanks to those members who did submit banners, and apologies for the delay in this decision being made.

It is extremely disappointing news, especially since the initial banner contest announcement had many expressions of interest.

By the end of this week, we'll decide what option we will pursue as the way forward.

We will include, in the post, a tutorial on how to make a banner, so if anyone would like to participate but doesn't know how to make a banner, we can help out there.
