Hi everyone, i think Savitri is so quiet becuase of the fact that she is the one that gave birth to four daughters and so becuase the whole Garodia family are like "we don't want daughters, girls are bad...." then i think this influences her feelings aswell, and so she thinks she is the one to blame for the troubles in the family. Obviously she loves her kids becuase she is their mom and you can tell that she does, but what i think gets her is that yes she feels she's the one to blame but also, that she is generally a quiet person and may think strongly inside like a typical indian person and feel that infront of her husband and her in-laws she does not have a say and so that's why she keeps quiet most of the time. I do think Suryakant loves his daughters aswell as his son but i also think that he has been so inlfuenced by society and the thoughts that daughters are not wanted that he too feels the pain of not being able to express his love towrds his daughters, and again that he feels that he can not go against his mother so that's why he listens to what she says. That's just my opinion! Lol 😃

Love Eish

I think it is this misconception of the indian mentality that "the one who suffers silently is the greatest". If you look at all the leading positive female characters in the serials, either saloni from saat phere or Vidya from BMTD or Mamata form mamata or Savitri form GKLB or Baani form KS , all of the are suffering in one way or the other. The moment they start doing something rebellious, they are not ideal any more.
But this is just a misconception and this gives kids living in foreign counries another misconception that everyone living in India are treated in this way. They tend to think that mean are the decision makers and that women do not have any say. These kids also think that the arranged marriages are when the girls do not have any say and that these relations are decided without consulting likes and dislikes of the bride and groom.
In our culture we had women personalities such as draupadi who never tolerated any injustice and was always very vocal about her veiws. Our ancient women characters always had a right to select her own husband and were always treated with respect and dignity.

Her helplessness is exaggerated and absolutely not true. Yaar, nowadays no-one is so helpless. It's a little far-fetched.

{u have done nothing other than giving birth to 4 daughters}

Maybe savitri doesn't know that its the male chromosomes which decide the gender of the future child. she should have taken a second husband instead of her husband taking a second wife. I find her behaviour annoying, yes, there should be compromises in a household, but when poeple are out to get you and hurt your children in the process, then you become an ally to that abuse. she should knee her husband in the groin , slap the abusive females and leave.

😡 Dude, she needs to step up now. It's too much. I like her sister better than her. 😃

I also think Savitri is a bit too weak. For example, the matter of Saraswati's marriage. Knowing that Bhavisa is a creep, she's still allowing the marriage to happen. In a way, she's sending her daughter into the same miserable situation she finds herself in, that really makes me angry.

As much as I can understand her helplessness, etc - I think she could be a much stronger character and the girls should be able to look up to here and get support from here, rather than support her themselves!

Actually she did speak to her husband about Saraswati's in-laws when she came to know about Bhavishya.Even Suryakant was willing to look into the matter.But when Menaka came to know about it she shed crocodile tears and said just bcos I brought the rishta you are thinking that the boy is not good and you are treating me like that just cos I am a step mother and blah blah blah.

So Suryakant dropped the matter and Savitri had to keep quiet cos Lakshmi was proven wrong when she brought the girl who was in love with Bhavishya to confront Bhavishya and she said that she doesnt know him.
