It is illgal to have two or more wife in india. I think person can go to jail if the person have two or more wife for few days.

Women don't speak even in 21th centuary because they think that they are helpless and men can take advatage of that.

from my understanding it's illegal. having a second wife is only legal if ur muslim...some type of muslim act law...correct me if i'm wrong

it is illegal for hindus and most other religions!! Even for Muslims, it depends on where they live! For example, if they get married in the US, they can't get remarried unless they're single again!

well NOONE should remarry when they got a wife as far as i know it is bigamy having more than one wife. In india however they dont have to register the wedding so do not really get in trouble. As far as i know sikh and hindu religion does now allow more than one wife.
