I think this show is so much discriminating girls. Show called ghar ki lakshami... But in this show everyone is insulting girls and her mother...

honestly i dont know why they even made this show its stupid this is 21st century noone bealives in dat stuff there is no diff between girl and boy this days its an old stuff well on da other hand india is still behind cuz of da way ppl thinks there just like negina i mean common who doesnt bealive in bio may be she is still in 18th century

I think that some people still live in the "18th century" unfortunately. People still have issues with "male and female babies." They fail to realize that without women there can be no male babies...no babies at all infact. And there is no use bringing up issues on no children being born with men. Because I don't see any medical advances in the near future that will have men carry the baby for 9 months.
But you know what amuses me the most about this show is that the women themselves don't realize thier own worth. The mother never says anything. The sisters never say anything but cry. Menka being a woman herself...prides herself on giving birth to a boy...when she should be simply proud to be a mother. The sisters Halki, Phulki...I have no words to for them...not only are they dumb...but as women they also put all their enery into putting down the girls and their mom. And Ba...the grandmother is a witch. Wanting a male heir...she disgusts me. You can never realize the worth of others unless you know the worth and importance of your ownself. Women should be proud to be women. Instead women are their own enemies as it seems to be.

For your information this may be the 21st century however people like that still do exist in this world today. Not only in India, however in Canada and the US too. Pick up any punjabi newspaper distributed in Canada and you will for sure find at least 5 advertisements for some clinic in the states or Canada that will give you some sort of herbal medicine increasing your chances of having a male or performing an ultrasound to let you know the sex of your baby. So it is not old stuff and I personally do not think that this show is "stupid". I think that it is a wonderful means of educating people who do not know better.

I agree, that a guy is just as responsible. But it is also the fault of ladies that belame other ladies for giving brith to a girl. Mother-in-laws and Sister-in-laws are also at fault, not just the guys.
