A question that has been bothering me

So Thakurji supposedly hates song and dance and any other indications of having fun. Fine. But then why was he asked to be the guest of honor at a dance competition...and more importantly...why did he agree to it? I'm surprised he even let Bhavna go to school in the first place, knowing the school allowed such indecency.

I know na! It's like he wants his family member to follow the rules, but not his village people. Isn't he teh mukhiya? Shouldn't he enforce those rules on everyone? How is it fair to everyone?

Yeah , watching Jhanvi's character as a family is absolutely dangerous for me now . She gives me a royal complex as a bahu .😆😆😆 So I have decided to watch Betiyaan in secret .🤣

we all have our secret indulgences 😆

If Thakurji is that important and renowned that it would be their "honor" to have his misogynistic presence at the school, I still do not understand why he agreed to attend. He appears to have the authority to say "no, little girls shouldn't dance" and the school would have to comply. This is just bad and inconsistent writing and nothing more.

I must give him some credit. I am surprised he would even keep Bhavna in the house and send her to school at all! Really he seems like the kind of man who would sell her into prostitution and turn Soumen into a baby-making machine until she produced a boy. Isn't he progressive and forward thinking 😆 😆 😆

😆

It is only poor ethos on the creative's part. I can bet that we (GKLB forum members) can come up with something better and believable than the creatives. We'll do it while we're not intoxicated.
Isn't Thakur the stupid mukhiya? It seems like he has been the mukhiya for quite some time too. Also, the village seems to be pretty small. Surely the school administrators would have known that their chief guest hates "dances" and is ridiculously conservative. Surely Thakur jee knew why he was going to be the chief guest. Why is it okay for the other little girls to dance and still be respectable, but it's a disgrace when Bhavna does the same thing? What does he expect her to do? Act like a chastised maiden? She's just a kid for crying out loud. It's her age to run around, do things that kids do--play house and have tea parties or whatever.
I just want to emphasize on one point. When Jhanvi first came to the haveli, there were men, a group of them, standing in the lawn. They were dancing, yelling and they were drunk. There were guns that were being fired up into the sky. And.....also....."Beedi Jalaile" was playing and some woman was dancing. At that moment, I thought that Nikhil's dad was a gunda Bhai.
Unlike other TV serial characters, I must tell the creatives that we....normal people.....don't suffer from memory losses and selective amnesia and that we are quite sane.
Bhai se Mukhiya kaise ban gaya yeh gadha?
