May 27^th 2009 Written Update

At the temple, Jhanvi and Nik fantasize abt getting married and the song Taare hain baarati plays. There they see an astrologer and Jhanvi shows him her hand and asks him abt her future husband and when she will get married. The pundit looks at her hand and tells her that she will get married very soon, but that there are a lot of raaz in the relnship, that'll be kept from her. He adds that her married life will bring in a lot of unseen difficulties. Nik gets angry and accuses the guy of being a fraud and drags Jhanvi away from there (ooo someone is getting defensive). Outside, she tells him that she too believes that he is hiding something abt his parents from her. He assures her it's nothing and promises to bring his parents to meet her. Later Rasik arrives at the house and Yuv gets furious when he addresses him as his 'beta', and asks to let him stay in the house. Yuv grabs him stating how disgusted he feels to know that his real father is a creep like Rasik and clarifies that Surya is his father, not him. Rasik pleads and cries, while Yuv drags him out of the house. The betiyann look on irritated presuming that Yuv is putting on an act to impress them. At work, Gauri is thrilled when Akash asks her out to a party (desperate much… she didn't even feel the need to ask permission from her family and she goes and agrees). Later, Akash picks her up from home and they leave for the party. In the car, Gauri is overwhelmed w/joy when he gives her a bouquet and a diamond bracelet. When they arrive at his house for the party, he gives her one more gift, a black dress, and asks her to wear it. She reluctantly agrees and goes to change, while he remembers how his mom humiliated him. He tells his friends that today in his mom's absence he'll avenge his insult by humiliating Gauri, who comes down in the black dress and is confused when Akash's friends begin circling around her(this is what happens when u embark on a date w/o thinking.. what was she thinking?). Akash laughs at her and reveals why he really brought her here. She begins to cry for help when the men circle around her and begin ripping her dress, while Akash is at the bar completely drunk and out of it. Just then Devyani comes there and is shocked to see what's going on(oops mommy is here!).
