2] Your favourite author ? I enjoy reading Kay Hooper a lot except her romance novels, her murder fiction is quite good!
3] Have you ever read the Bhagwad Geeta and do you intend to read it once in this lifetime ?No I haven't...I would like to though!
4] Which place of piligrimages have you been to and which affected you the most ? I haven't been to any place of pilgrimages but we have an old home in a village where only family members go to worship & I have felt blessed every time I have been there.
5] Do you believe in astrology ? Honestly, no...we didn't even have our horoscopes matched when we got married, my husband's family also doesn't believe in that. But in the same breath, I do read my daily horoscope for entertainment purposes!
6] What aspect of God fascinates u the most ? That God's timing is not our timing, no matter how badly we want something, it will only happen when & if God is willing. What we don't often realise is that God fulfills our "needs" & not our "wants" because it is more important to have our "needs" fulfilled rather than our "wants"
7] Your favourite movie star ? Ummm...I enjoy watching a role well performed whether it is Aamir Khan in Tare Zameen Par or Saif Ali Khan in Hum Tum.
8] Your favourite movie ? One that I could watch over & over - Tare Zameen Par
9] Your favourite dish [ food item ] ? Butter Chicken
10 ] Opinion about Amitabh ? He is a good actor but sometimes I feel that he thinks too much of himself - sorry if I offend anyone in saying this.
11] Opinion about Aamir ? He is intelligent & practical - lately he has given us a few good movies from Lagaan to Tare Zameen Par to Ghajini.
12] Fav Hollywood actor ? For a while there, I liked Keeanu Reeves after watching Speed...but no one particular right now...
13] Fav Bollywood actor ? I enjoy a good performance, so it depends on the movie & how good the role is portrayed by the actor.

your fav male singer and song From way back when, I used & still like Bryan Adams & his Summer of '69 Album. I grew up listening to Mukesh & golden oldies so I still find myself singing some of the old tunes.
your fav female singer and song. I like Celine Dion but right now one of my favourite songs is by Natasha Beddingfield called "Unwritten" - really foot tapping music! Again, I grew up listening to Lata Mangeshkar, one of my favourite songs is "Rula ke gaya sapna mera" & "Yaara Seeli Seeli"
fav. musician Will always have a soft spot for Lata-ji.
fav lyricist No one in particular
some of the songs u feel u can not live without Summer of '69, Unwritten, Yara Seeli Seeli
some of the foods u feel out of this world. I sort of craved lemon grass chicken on rice vermicelli when I was pregnant & here I am two years later, still addicted to it!
you are inspired by good deeds - it is nice to know in this day & age, there are still people out there who care enough to give to those not so fortunate
person you feel u want to wake up for and get going my daughter - she will scream until I get up, so don't have much of a choice in that matter but no matter what time of the night she gets me up (2am last night), she always makes me smile...
Describe some incidents you had with clients that made you laugh? I remember one incident when I was doing my articles, we were sent to a remote area for an audit. I had just learnt how to drive & I was driving the company car which just happened to be a truck. My feet barely reached the pedals & I was the only one licensed to drive. It was election time & there were threats of riots so the police had to come in & a helicopter was trying to land (I am dead serious, this really did happen). For the life of me, in a state of panic, I couldn't find "reverse" (it was a standard, not automatic), when I finally did, I gunned that car so fast behind without looking where I was going but just in time! We all laughed/panicked etc later...
cry? When I had to work non stop for 21 hours to get our budgets done & I had already worked 16 hours each day that week before I ended up putting in the 21 hour day. The final nail in the coffin was when I was so tired that I didn't look as I tried to take a file out, I cut my hand very badly...I just cried from pure fatigue...
made you angry? When I worked so hard on an audit & a colleague of mine took the credit for it simply because she made some minor changes to what I had done...worse still, on the audit papers she wrote her name on it as if she had prepared it for me!
Describe anything interesting you found on IF like members, incidents, forums etc. I enjoy genuine discussions about issues, sometimes, no matter how much you may dislike a character in a serial (like Menka), someone might just say something that could be done to show different sides to that character & that suddenly makes you think - hey that is right! I really love IF - it is part of my daily routine!
Thanks for the fascinating q's didi!!

Kalyani
I was totally zapped to see how many things we had in common .
Fav singers [ mine] Golden oldies Mukesh , Lata and others]
Fav singer Celine dion [ I urge my son to give up his heavy metal rock and just listen to her melodious song and know real melody . ] If u ask my opinion , Celine Dion is gifted and singers like her r hard to come by and rare .
Books . Btw Im ordering Abul Kalam's Wings of Fire already .
Finding happiness in Children and belief in God .
Liking IF for various viewpoints . Same here , it sets me thinking on other levels not related to IF . And u wont believe it but it helps .
Ur attachment to ur child . I too find happiness only in the innocence of my children .
When I read ur answers I felt as if I was reading the answers of a younger version of myself . The same Rationalist Compassionate combo I like was there everywhere !
The only thing that makes me diffrent is ur love for Maths and my horror of it . I immersed myself in Literature and ranaway from Maths..........never cud understand it . Kuch Jami nahi .😊 Great knowing u dear !

Thanks Didi!! You will enjoy Wings of Fire, though be prepared for a lot of physics in it, what I liked was the simplicity with which he describes his upbringing, what his family did for him & vice versa...it really touched me!!
I totally forgot to mention Mukesh...love him...see if you can find a CD of Lata-ji's songs called "Haunting Melodies" - bahut hi khoobsurat gaane hai!!
Honestly, I loved literature, I used to write poetry as a child & wanted to be a painter...my parents didn't see much of a future for me in that, as a kid, I used to put all my paintings on my bedroom walls!
I wasn't too smart at maths but I loved statistics so when I started my career, I completed hated accounting - too rigid & then I discovered analytics & found that to have an artistic side to it...crazy, I know...
But, all in all, when you were member of the week, I realised how much in common I have with you too!!
Its fantastic knowing you too didi!!
