I was wondering if the creatives think it takes men to hold the show together & is that why they introduced BC? The show was riding reasonably high when Surya & Karan were around.
What do you guys think: Does it take men to make this show a success?
I personally don't think so, the creatives are just not protraying these women as independent, smart, intelligent, self-respecting individuals...if they did, this show would do so well...what a pity, might as well end the show...

Yes . They deliberately portray women as extra dumb , then say that Surya has gone so Trp's r down . This is chauvinistic mindset of scriptwriters alone being projected through the scripts in Betiyaan .
Look at the men ............Surya , Yuvraj , r either chauvinistic and insufferable [ BC or Bhavishya ] or utter wusses [ Hasmukh , Shitij and now slowly even Nikhil is turning into one .]
The only interesting male was Karan , who they quickly did away with . The portrayal of women is so insufferably stupid that just like a man whose head is held deliberately under water gasps ' Air ! I want Air ! " when pulled out , , viewers , sick of the stupidity of women will yell
" We want men ! Bring Surya Back ! Or gosh Nikhil is a relief !"
This whole plotting is deliberate and chauvinistic .

I totally agree - the only interesting male was Karan - he didn't fit into any typical category of Betiyaan men, he made the show somewhat interesting...it really seems as though the bhajii-walas are the ones writing the script...anyone out there notice fewer bhajii walas on the streets??? 😆😆😆...
What a pity...this show could have turned into something interesting...showing women as dumb etc etc...was not the way to go...

As of males I miss Karan only on this show. Well actually I miss the prior lakshmi and karan duo.

I think a lot of us miss them, they made the show worth watching just for their chemistry...
Unfortunately, the creatives are portraying that only men can put this show on top & that is why they introduced someone like BC...this isn't necessarily the case...
