April 21st '09 Written Update
A rishta comes for Gauri. The groom's parents, who come to see her, aren't very happy and complain that she is dark complexioned and wears glasses too. They go on abt how handsome and smart their son is and that Gauri is no match for him. But they agree to still go ahead w/ this rishta if half of the Garodia property is given to their son along w/ Rs 10 lacs in dowry. They are shocked when Gauri comes forward refusing this rishta and orders them to get out. Later Sav, Menka and Baa come to comfort Gauri. Baa and Menka explain how the dowry system is a part of their tradition which she has to accept. Seeing Gauri's determination to change these age old customs, Sav expresses how proud she is of her and assures her that some day, she will have find a life partner who will love her for her simplicity and good values. The betis get worried when they find out that BC's guy took Niy's baby away for a while today. They alert Niy to be wary of BC and his guys explaining that they shudn't be trusting strangers. The next day, when Saras and Shitij go to the bank to withdraw some papers, they are shocked to learn that Yuvraj and Kajri took away all the wealth and papers leaving behind only 3000 rupees. They realize that they have only one option now and that is to request BC to return back their factory to them. The betis approach him pleading their case, but he is unmoved by their tears and agrees only if they all fall at his feet asking forgiveness.
