Jan 20th '09 Written Update
The betiyaan are worried how to get rid of Kajri when Sav assures them that their dad is watching over them and will protect them forever. She goes to her room and cries remembering Surya. Days pass…the girls pamper both the pregnant members of their family, Laxmi and Niyati. Kaj watches jealously as Yuvraj takes care of Niyati. She tries to befriend the betiyaan but in vain. She's happy seeing Menka yearning to hold Naman. 13 days pass by. Kaj comes to Menka's room faking concern for the family and tells her that she (Menka) is the only one who can run this family after Surya, as Sav is not capable to do it. This leaves Menka in thoughts.
The 13th day rasm is going on and all are seated there in white while the pundit chants the mantras. After the rasm, the lawyer comes in to declare the will. Baa and the rest tell him that it's known to all that Yuv is the sole heir to their property and urges him to come later, but Yuv insists that the will be read now. Kaj and Ras look on in high hopes. The lawyer begins to read… "After Surya's demise, Sav and Menka's expenses will be handled by Garodia wealth. On the 1st of every month, Rs 50,000 will be deposited in Baa, and Phulki's a/c each, which will be solely for them only. The reigns of the business and all the business decisions will be taken by Hasmukh and Shitij, while the crores worth of Garodia property, all their factories etc will be equally divided amongst Saras, Gauri, Durga, Laxmi and Jhanvi". All look on stunned hearing the will. Saras tells the lawyer that this will can't be right, but the lawyer assures them that Surya himself got this new will made, days b4 his death. Durga tells him that no matter what the will says, their property belongs to Yuvraj only. The lawyer reminds them that these documents are legal and they have to follow it. He gives the will papers to Baa and leaves.
Kaj and Ras stand afar looking shocked!! Yuv is confused by all this esp since the lawyer told him that Surya wanted to give him the whole property. Later Kaj finds Yuv alone and urges him to talk to the lawyer and find out what is wrong, and he agrees. The next day, Yuv goes to meet the lawyer, who tells him that even though Surya called him on the day he died to make Yuv the sole heir to the property, they never could complete the formalities, due to which the will Surya signed earlier became the legal one. At the Garodia house, Kaj is pacing the floor in worry when Ras assures her that they will get back all the wealth in their name by using the love the family members have for Yuvraj. She advises Kaj to gain the family's love and trust by acting all nice and completely changed. Yuv is in the terrace thinking abt the will and he tells himself that his dad never loved him and the reason he killed his dad is also wasted. Menka walks in right then.
Precap: Sav tells the girls that Surya must've made the new will for a reason and that it doesn't matter if the will is in their name or Yuv's cuz they are all one. Menka comes there and disagrees with her.
