Betiyaan: December 10^th '08 Update

Worried that the kid will tell the family that Kajri sent the cash, Yuv quickly handles the situation by telling them that this was the cash he had left at office. All believe him except Surya. Yuv goes to his room and is restless that Kaj will not be able to provide good medical care for Naman w/o the money. Niy tries to ask him what's worrying him, but he remains distracted and rushes out, leaving Niy more confused.

He comes to Kajri with the cash. She instigates him that he is not Surya's son and hence he himself has no right on the cash. He assures her that his dad loves him a lot and will agree on financially supporting Naman. When Kajri challenges him that Suryakant will not agree to any such thing, Yuvraj ascertains her that he will prove her wrong and he leaves giving Kajri the money. Kajri looks on in determination and vows to herself that she will win this time.

The prospective groom, Siddharth and his family arrive at the house and they all introduce each other. The marriage broker tries to talk to Sav in private abt something important, but he cudn't. Inside, Gauri trembles in nervousness and is not able to hold the tray of tea cups properly, so Jhumki (Jhanvi) offers to help her. When Jhanvi and Gauri come downstairs, Siddharth and his family look on admiringly. Jhanvi serves them tea. The parents announce to the family that they like the girl. Then to everyone's surprise, Siddharth's mother walks over to Jhanvi and hands her a pair of bangles as shagun and tells everyone that she is their bahu now. Jhanvi looks on in shock holding the bangles.

Precap: When Surya tells Siddharth and his family that this rishta was for Gauri and not Jhanvi, they tell him that they had liked Jhanvi's picture instantly.
