August 21st, 2008 Written Update
Savitri walks in with Menka claiming that no matter what, Yuv will always be Menka?s son and they all will have to accept it. Surya tries reasoning with Savitri, but she tells him that Menka is not alone to be blamed and they are all equally responsible. And that Menka did what she did cuz Surya and Baa wanted a beta so badly. She continues to try and convince them that what he?s doing isn?t fair but Surya doesn?t listen. Menka stops Sav and tells her not to try anymore, as these ppl do not exercise what they preach abt truth and fairness.[India-Forums.com] She tells Sav that Surya and Baa wud never accept that they?re wrong because they have her to dump all their mistakes on. She turns to leave but Baa stops her and agrees with Sav.
Surya tells everyone that they can do as they please, but Menka died for him the day he broke her mangalsutra off [Tera mujhse hai pehle koi nata nahiiiiii?😛] and he storms off. Everyone leaves and Sav tells Menka that she only brought her here because of Yuv and not cuz she forgave her. Sav tells her that her mistake took Karan away from them, for which she can never forgive her and she leaves. [India-Forums.com]Menka walks towards Laxmi, but she leaves as well. Menka thinks to herself that she never wanted Karan dead but nevertheless she is responsible for it.
Later on, the neighbors come home and invite Baa and rest to their bahu?s godh baraayi. Baa refuses their invitation and they leave. Kajri comes there and wonders what rasm that is. As Phulki is leaving, Kajri asks her what it is. Phulki tells that it?s a ladies function and then leaves.[India-Forums.com] Kajri decides to ask Rasili.
In Laxmi?s room, Laxmi is thinking abt Karan. Menka comes there and tries to explain to her how she didn?t know that Rasik was planning to kill Karan but Laxmi explodes at her and tells her she?ll never forgive her.[India-Forums.com] Menka feels guilty and Laxmi warns her from ever coming before her again.
Savitri goes to talk to a distraught Surya, and he applauds her for being so calm and patient thru all this. In Niyati?s room, Niy reminds Yuv of Raksha bandhan. Back in Surya?s room, Surya tells Sav that they shudnt celebrate Rakshabandhan this year, esp with all the sadness they are all going thru. In both rooms, Niy and Sav respectively assure their husbands that they will celebrate it.[India-Forums.com] Yuv wonders in his room how Laxmi will even be able to stand the sight of him, Karan?s killer?s son. End.
Precap: Kajri tells Niyati that they both are alike, neither of them have brothers.[India-Forums.com] Niyati corrects Kajri and tells her that she has 2 brothers whom she ties rakhi to, Lords Krishna and Balram. Kajri in her mind thanks Niyati for giving her the perfect way to get into the hearts of the family and Yuv.
