July 31st Written Update
Rasik watches in the trees as Karan's pyre is lit on fire. He gloats and blames Karan for causing his own death by getting in his way. They all come home to Karan's house and Laxmi remembers Karan.
Rasik goes to the midwife's house and tells her abt Karan's death. She tells him that she sent a letter to Karan's house. Rasik is worried hearing this. He tries calling Menka but it doesn't go thru. He decides to get there himself.
A boy comes to Karan's house and the servant opens the door. The boy hands him a letter and tells him that it was for Karan. The servant sees Laxmi by Karan's photo and decides not to bother her. He hands the note to Sav and tells her it was for Karan. She is abt to read it when she hears Surya screaming at Rasik and leaves the note there and goes to see whats happening.
Rasik comes there acting like he is very upset at Karan's death. Surya tells him that he's created enough problems for this family, and to get out. Rasik leaves and waits outside until Menka joins him. She asks why he came here, and he tells her abt the letter. Kajri watches their convo and wonders what they are talking abt, and why shes talking to him in secret, and is determined to find out.
Surya asks Laxmi and her MIL to come home with them, but they refuse, wanting to stay here with Karan's memories. Sav offers to stay for a few days, but Menka suggests that she will stay instead of Sav, after realizing it to be an opportunity to find the letter. Everyone agrees.
Laxmi goes to her room and cries, as she remembers Karan.
Later at night Menka is sleeping next to Laxmi, and when Laxmi is asleep, Menka sneaks off downstairs to look for the letter. She's still looking when the lights go on and Menka turns around to see Laxmi looking at her from upstairs. End.
