Geet had her reason for taking Rithan away. But the situation has changed now. He does want his son. Geet did not understand the pain he was feeling. He was grieving. He could not handle looking after a child. Not then.

Unless Maan and Geet talk, there will be no resolution. Both have to put themselves aside and only think of the child.

That night…

Maan is thinking about the past…

Why did Geet take Rithan with her ?

She was ready to leave Rithan with the Khurana family and start her life with Dev…

Had Maan been a bit more responsible at that time, Geet would have been happily married, probably having her own child…

Then she would have actually forgotten Rithan, no… that’s impossible, at least she might have settled down not bothering Maan and his son, haina?

Now why did that Dev ran away?

Why didn’t he fight for his love?

After meeting HD, Maan can understand Dev’s plight, no one can go against the dictator Geet…

Geet and her stupid ego must have caused trouble in their relationship, and she is trying to hide her feelings by finding solace as a mother, now Geet doesn’t understand that every relationship is different and none of the relationships could fulfill the promises of another one….

Geet is totally confused, she thinks that the solution for her solitude is Rithan… yes, to some extent, but what about everything else?

Seeing her frustrations and insecurities about losing another relationship, and taking into account her love deprived upbringing, it is pretty clear that Geet Handa’s problem is lack of love and affection, from someone close, from that someone who belongs to her …

There was no parent love, and the only sister who was close to her has gone, and she herself sacrificed Dev’s love for Rithan, now Geet is alone again….

Maan thinks that Geet might still be in love with Dev..

If Rithan is the problem standing between their union then Maan will clear their hurdles, Maan wants his son back and after that Geet would be ready to get her love back…

And in these days of separation Dev must have realized his mistakes and want to get back with Geet…

Maan gets Dev’s no. and calls him…

Dev is working in Singapore still…

Dev has only met Maan once and then too had no interactions with him…

India reminds Dev about his bitter experience that happened in that last visit, it reminds him about Geet Handa…

That rings the bell and Dev immediately remembers Maan…

How could Dev forget Maan Singh Khurana who played havoc in his life and stopped his wedding?

Had this man taken the responsibility of his son at the right time, Geet would have been with Dev, happily married having their own children .

But due to this man’s Devil-may-care behaviour, today Geet is not with Dev…

Dev is not happy to hear from Maan…

Dev: what’s it now? How come the man who doesn’t even remember his son suddenly remembers me? Have you got another child to abandon?

Maan knows that Dev is right to get upset…

Maan: no, I am here to take back my abandoned son and give you back your love, now Geet is all yours, Rithan is going home with his father, you can take Geet home too

Dev: does Geet know about this?

Dev knows that Geet won’t forgive him easily….

Maan: I am in Chennai with Geet, she still loves you, she is not ready to move on without you

Dev can’t believe it…

Maan: if you don’t believe me you come and see for yourself

Dev wants to apologize to Geet, he has to meet her at least for that…

Dev agrees to come….

Maan keeps it a secret, he wants to surprise Geet…

Maan is happy that he is so close to get back his life, his son…

It’s just a matter of few days, let Dev come and take his love back, then there will be no problem for Maan to unite with Rithan…

Maan plays nice the whole week…

He is satisfied with having a few words with Rithan while he waits for him in the evening when Rithan comes to play with his friends in the park…

Maan doesn’t chase Rithan running to and from Geet’s apartment like before…

Geet is little relieved but suspicious, what’s he cooking now?

Geet knows that Maan is upto something big, maybe he is planning to take the legal steps…

That Saturday, Dev comes…

Maan goes to receive him…

It’s midnight…

Maan asks Dev to stay at his apartment and they can meet Geet in the morning after Rithan goes to play with his friends….

As usual Maan waits for his buddy next morning…

Rithan already told Geet that he is going out for a movie with his buddy ..

Geet knows that if she restricts Rithan without proper reason then it will put unnecessary pressure on little Rithan which she doesn’t want…

Rithan got attached to Maan so easily, he has a lot of friends but he doesn’t have a father figure which he has found in his new buddy, that’s why he is so happy to spend time with Maan…

Maan also pampers Rithan with in the best way possible to compensate for his absence…

And as they rightfully say that “blood is thicker than water”, the father and son have a natural connection which Geet can’t deny…

Rithan comes followed by Geet…

Maan: hi buddy, good morning

Rithan: halo buddy, I am ready to go

Geet: Rithan, this is the first and last time, next time you should first ask my permission before accepting anyone’s invitation, do you understand?

Rithan keeps looking at Geet silently..

Maan interferes…

Maan: I thought Rithan doesn’t need anyone’s permission to come with me, I might be wrong, next time I will keep it in mind to seek your permission Geet

Geet: that’s good Maan, just keep it in mind that I am Rithan’s mother

Dev: Geet, how are you?

Geet: what are you doing here?

Dev: I am really sorry for what happened Geet, it’s all my fault

Geet: I don’t want your sorry

Dev: I know your anger is justified, I was wrong Geet

Geet: I have forgotten the past and everything connected to it

Geet means Dev and their love..

They are going to watch ‘The super mario bros’…

They get ice cream and go home…

Geet looks at Maan annoyed, now what’s the other surprise?

Geet: I don’t like surprises

Rithan doesn’t understand Geet’s anger…

Rithan: Maan, close your eyes

Geet: Rithan, come and have your lunch

Maan: Geet, I know you hate listening to anyone, but just listen to Rithan once

Geet closes her eyes…

Rithan looks at Maan and winks…

Maan gets the ice cream tub and keeps it in her palm…

Geet feels the chillness…

Geet: Rithan, what is it?

Rithan: open your eyes and see it maa

Geet opens her eyes and looks at the chocolate ice cream on her hand…

Geet: but Rithan

Geet stares Maan… what’s he trying to do? Does he think that he can control me?

Maan: Rithan, look, your maa is so happy, just like you wished

Maan tries to put some sense into Geet’s brain to consider Rithan’s feelings…

Geet tastes it…n

Rithan: maa, can I have ice cream, please

He puts his little arm in front and pleads …

Geet: ok but only one

Rithan never stops with one, that’s the problem, that’s why Geet restricts him….

Maan gives Rithan his favourite cotton candy ice cream…

Rithan is so happy…

Rithan: buddy, where is yours?

Maan: I will go home and have it

Rithan: no, we will have it together

Rithan wants to have Maan’s too, Geet will not let him have her’s for sure….
