Raj is right. People crave for the love of a family when they don't have one, and don't appreciate it when they do.

Maan is distant with Raj because of his own doing. He had never appreciated Maan's choice of career. That he is working hard for it.

Geet is worthless in the eyes of her aunt. Only a worthless family or boy would want her.

The family had made the perfect plan. Neither one will know about the other but have a chance to work together.

Thanks for the pws.. such a sweet story. Initially seeing the title & ch 1 I felt this could be a simple & slow story ..

It felt like the dad is probably a negative character who is only about status and richness. But at the end I understand that Maan has a very loving family, everyone is into civils in good positions yet they seem to not forget their humility. I’ve taken a special liking to Naintara’s character, specifically loved the way she said ‘So what if Geet is an orphan, does that make her worth any lesser?!!’ to Maan. This shows she is such a wonderful person.

So Maan is not into the idea of marriage right now. Although it looks like it came more becoz of his ego being hurt by that girl’s rejection. So this could be a temporary feeling, considering he has saved his virginity to the one he marries & is waiting for The One, its so cute btw🥰! Geet’s story is sad, losing both the parents & living under someone else’s guardianship is very burdensome in that small age. She’s being ill treated as expected. But loved that she is a dreamer.
Naintara noticing her & telling everyone about her bg, yet none of them having concerns about her being an orphan is so beautiful.. they are really such good ppl including Maan’s dad. He may be angry on his son for the moment but he is a softie from within. Loved the fact that he tried to be as transparent to Geet as possible, almost considering her like his daughter. Geet was hesitant to face them in the beginning but they gave such good vibes to her that she understood they’re so nice. Also has her doubts now abt the groom who is absent.

By chapter 5 I am totallllly in love with this idea right now.. the thought that Geet is going to be his secretary & how they have never met until now. Oh it has been ages since I read a straightforward story where Maan and Geet are working together as boss and PA. Those good old stories that were running with the Serial’s backdrop. Oh please make this dreamy .. and bring many maahi moments between the two! Atleast thank god everyone else except these 2 are in on the plan and they may accelerate their love story a bit giving them opportunities to spend time with each other. Oh I’m so looking forward to this, pls make Maan & Geet like the khadoos boss and bholi secretary if possible 🫣 I apologize for giving u ideas like this when u may have already thought something of the story.. but still pls try .. loved it, eager for more
