Also, curious ... concerning the mom who gives baad dua to the family & it's implications:

Dev meets Geet before lohri tamashah SO do you think the eventual fraud marriage was "maa ki hai" manifesting OR Geet's prewritten destiny? 🧐

I've no clue never had patience for first 48 epis...

But dev always intended to defraud her, and can't say it was geet's destiny to get cheated more like collective stupidity of the fam...

Geet's destiny was to be with maan, and dev was just a hurdle in b/w

I don't want to spoil but i think maan had some tiny winy responsibility for geet being cheated.... If he didn't hold on to give money to dev to teach him a lesson then dev wouldn't have cheated on geet...

so~ the first scene of first epi - these dudes are chasing a girl and I guess kill her. One of the bad boys is Brij, Geet’s cousin.

the mom of murdered girl comes to the lohri festival bc she feels Brij & tauji’s family must have done something (& Brij sort of admits to “teaching” the girl a lesson) 😳 . So mom gets mad and gives baaddua that Geet and the other daughters in the house face hardship

So, Yes, Dev already wanted to cheat Geet but maybe~ the baaddua was a cinematic way to cement that journey for Geet. She has to go through shit before it gets better

s/n: Random but so many people from this show came into EHMMBH 😆 Dev looks the same throughout .. jeans, jacket top or shirt with vest and glasses 😆

LOL - sometimes it doesn’t matter how one gets there as long as the destination is met 🤣

I dunno if I can do a Gul/Imlie comparison, here, but Devi’s car collides with Geet’s motorcycle …just like Aditya’s moto and Imlie’s tempo car so we should’ve known they were doomed from the start. Or at least not endgame 🤣
