Hello friends, as you all requested, here's the character sketch. Though I'm not good in writing CS but just tried. Hope you like it.

Savitri Singh Khurana : Head of the family. Loves her grandsons and daughters deeply.

Maan Singh Khurana : Elder son of Gayatri and Pratap Singh Khurana. He is well established business tycoon.

Geet Singh Khurana : Cute and bubbly girl who married to Maan.

Dev Singh Khurana : Younger brother of Maan who understands Maan and also respect Geet as his bhabhi.. He is like a friend to them.

Kavita Singh Khurana : Aunt of Maan and Dev. They called her 'Choti ma'.

Param Singh Khurana : Husband of Kavita and younger brother of Pratap who supports his brother in every way.

Prateek Singh Khurana : Son of Kavita and Param, he's younger son of Khurana family and very lovable person.

Anwesha Singh Khurana : Daughter of Kavita and Param, she's the only daughter of Khurana family, she's an apple of their eyes.

Like always, Khurana's starts their day with Geet's melodious voice, by dadi's insistence, she regularly sang Psalmody and worshiped every day. After praying to God, she turned and found the entire family was standing behind her, she smiled and walked to dadi and took blessing from her.

"Be happy puttar..!" Dadi blessed her.

After taking her blessing, she went to each elder member of the family and took blessing from them, everyone blessed her happily.

"You all please take your seat at dining table, I will serve you the breakfast." She said smiling and about to leave when Param called her, "Geet..?"

She turned at him answering, "Yes chotey papa?"

"Geet, today you don't need to go to the office." He replied while everyone smiled at her tenderly.

"Yes Geet, today you stay back at home." Hearing Kavita, Geet looked at her confuse and scanned everyone's face within a second.

"Why..? Is a client coming to our house?"

"No.." Param replied.

"Then?" She asked anxious.

"Oh..! Don't you know..? Who's coming?" Gayatri said in disbelief while Geet shook her head.

"You really don't know?" Kavita asked back in surprise and they gave each other a look while Geet stood there confused. Kavita said excited, "Not any client but someone special is coming."

Geet was wondrously looking at them as she didn't getting, about whom they were talking. "Oh devrani jee.. I can't keep it suspense anymore." All of sudden Gayatri jumped shouting. "Geet puttar.. Maan is coming today. Don't you know that..?"

"Maan..?" She uttered his name in astonished. Her heart sank hearing his name, an unknown fear emerged in her mind, her face gets fade.

"Oho didi.. You spoiled Maan's surprise." Kavita chided her sighing.

"Oh God..! What's the surprise in it?" She asked pouting.

"See..! Maan didn't inform Geet about his arrival then there must be some surprise he planned for her. After all after two years they are going to meet." Kavita explained.

"You think so devrani jee? Thats Maan, who never visited India from last two years, never tried to meet his wife - will come and surprise her suddenly..?" She mocked her. "Though Geet, didn't tell us anything but I know they have some tension in between them." Gayatri said turning at Geet who was standing there motionless.

"You are not my type.. We are childhood friends but I never seen you in this way. I have never been attracted to you." His last words still echoed in her ear. Her past memories with him still haunting her. To keep himself away from this unwanted marriage, he left the country giving excuse about his work but now again they are going to face each other.

"Geet..?" Her chain of thought broke as Kavita slightly shook her. She blankly looked at her who asked, "Is everything alright between you and Maan..?"

Alright..? Everything perfectly looks right over, but nobody knows that every day how badly her mind revolve thinking about him - thinking about their childhood memories, about his hurtful behavior, but still she keeps herself strong.

"Yes.. Yes choti ma..! Everything is fine between us." She felt difficult to lie to them and everyday she fight with herself for hiding her trauma.

"Geet, puttar we are your family. If there's something bothering you then please discuss with us. We will be with you always." Dadi assured.

Geet composed herself and walked to dadi with a smile on her face. She took dadi's hand in hers saying, "No dadi.. There's nothing bothering me. I'm happy that finally Maan is coming.. And even I waited for him from last two years. And finally the day arrived.." She said while a drop of tear formed in her eyes, dadi caressed her face lovingly and hugged her.

Geet walked in her room, as soon as she entered Maan's portrait caught her eyes, his brown and black mixed orbs always attracted her, she kept looking at him while recalling of their childhood memories.

She chuckled thinking few more memories but all her smile faded away at once when she reminds about their marriage.

Maan barged inside the room next morning of their marriage and saw Geet was sleeping on the sofa in her sitting position, Maan didn't bother to wake up and directly walked up to his wardrobe. Hearing some chirpy noise, she opened her eyes. Seeing him inside, Geet composed on her seat. Till now, Maan took away all his cloths from the wardrobe.

"Maan.. What are you doing?" She asked while getting up from her position but he ignored her. "Maan?" She walked towards him while watching him packing his cloths. "Are we going somewhere?"

' WE ' That word caught his attention, he stopped his packing and turned at Annika asking, "Excuse me..? We..?"

Geet looked on confuse. "Oho..! You are talking about that.. That wedding.. Hmm..?"

"What? What are you talking? I'm not getting you." She mumbled.

"Not getting me?" He asked gritting his teeth. "Okay, let me clear you one thing Geet, I married to you because dadi wanted me to marry you, that's it. So, kindly do not behave like my wife through your actions. I don't accept you as my wife."

As Maan confessed, Geet's entire world slipped away from her feet, her dreams shattered into pieces. "Maan.." She ran to him and placed her both hands on his arms asking, "Maan.. You.. You are joking right?" Her voice was trembling.

"No.." He shrugged off her hand.

"If you weren't ready then why did you marry me Maan?" She asked crying.

"For my family's sake. For my dadi.." He said running his finger in his hair. "You know, I can do anything for dadi.. Remember, dadi had a minor heart attack on last week.. On the hospital bed she asked me marry you and seeing her condition, I accepted her wish but what about you? I thought you would have say no for this wedding but you... Why did you accept the proposal? You know well that I don't love you." He said firmly and turned to continue his packing.

"Love? You don't love me but I do Maan." She thought while tears were rolling down from her eyes, she stood there silent.

Not getting any response, he again looked at her. "Tell me Geet." He waited for her answer.

"I.. Even I agreed for my family." She sobbed as she knew if she confessed her feelings to him now, he will not accept her..

He sighed, "Then, there's nothing left to say and to listen in between us. I married to you as dadi wished, but I don't want to bound in to this unwanted marriage that's why I'm leaving India. I have explained to everyone in this house about the reason behind my leave, I hope they will not ask you anything, you can stay here as long as you want. And if you ever think to leave the house then I kept the divorce papers on the table where I have already signed."

As Maan's continuous speaking, Geet didn't say anything. Once he finished, he looked at Geet asking, "Do you want to say something?"

"Are you done?" She asked wiping her tears while he looked at her confuse. "I don't know what's going into your mind right now.. But I didn't marry you to leave this house, to leave you. I will stay here until you return back."

"I won't return Geet."

"You will Maan.. You will." She said confident. "Today I won't stop you from leaving because if I stop you today, I know you will stay back but you won't be happy ever. I want to see you happy always. If you will be happy by staying away from your family then go..!" She said moving away from his path. "But mark my word Maan, one day you will return and that day you will find everything same, which you are leaving today." She said smiling.

"Not in your dreams Geet. I need a reason to return and fortunately you can't be the reason." He said calmly. "Yes, it's right that we know each other from childhood, our families are friends, we grown up together but you are not my type..I never feel that attraction towards you and I'm pretty sure this distance can change nothing in my opinion towards you. So, it will be better if you move on and live your own life."

His words pricked in her heart badly that tears again made their ways from her eyes. "Anyways, I'm getting late. Bye." He said picking his luggage and walked out from the room, Geet stood at her same position and saw him leaving. Though inside her, she wished he would stop but when he disappeared from her view, her last wish also shattered and she collapsed on floor crying.

Geet was shaken badly by her past. She grabbed Maan's photo from the bed side table and caressed his face. "I know you aren't coming for me. But still I'm glad that you are coming at least. It had been two years, I never seen you, never heard your voice." She cried hugging the frame.

Raahein meri intezaar se thak gayi..
Dekhne ko tujhe aankhein taras gayi..
Rota hain dil zaar - o - qataar mera...
Aahoon ko meri tera intezaar..
Duaoon ko meri tera intezaar..

"Don't worry puttar.. It's just about few years, he will return after finishing his work." Gayatri's assuring words still echoed in her ear. Everyone knew he left for his work but only Geet knew the actual reason but she didn't expose the truth, as she knew how badly it will hurt his family, she isn't so heartless like him.

Geet opened her eyes when her eyes fall on her reflection on the mirror. Keeping the photo frame aside, she walked and stood opposite to the mirror. She was comparing herself with old Geet who was looking like typical 90's girl, who had no dressing sense - always used to wear saree's or Anarkali's and with a spec on her eyes which gave her geek look. Actually..! She never was compatible with Maan. She never dressed in that manner which can attract any guy. But now, by one look, anyone can fall in love with her. She has every quality in her which can make her Maan's choice - from personality to look, she is perfect at any sense.

"Grooming yourself..?" She heard a voice and moved her eyes from the mirror to the direction and found Dev was smiling at her.

"No.. I.." She said in embarrassment and composed herself.

"It's okay.. After all you are going to meet him after years, so some grooming session you really need." Dev teased her.

"Stop it Dev. Do you really think, all this will work? I know Maan, he will not give a single look on me." She said upset.

"He will Geet. What did he say..? You are not his type. Now you just look at yourself." Dev encouraged her by making her face the mirror. "You are completely changed Geet. I know, this time bhai can't go away from you. Believe me..!" He said caressing her hair.

"Thank you." She said turning at him, "You were there when I needed someone. I would have left the house long time back if you wouldn't give me the strength to fight with my love."

"Thanks to God that I heard your and bhaiya's conversation on that day when he was leaving. Else you won't say anything to us." Geet looked down. "Anyways, as now he is coming, you have to make him yours okay? Remember Geet, he married to you, you are the one who has authority on him. You are the one for him." Dev gave her strength.

"Yes. I have waited for him so long, now I won't let this wait to go in vain." She took a deep breath and gets ready for her mission to get her love back.

She is hurt badly n changed herself completely to win his love n waited for him for 2 long years.
