Nice start

So Prince maan has met geet but she is hiding her face & the fact that she is a princess

So maan has to win these contests to be eligible prospect to marry the princess.

I read the character sketch 3 times, I was overwhelmed b/c there are so many characters & I was becoming confused. I think as the story progresses, it will become clearer.

Part 2

So maan overheard geet’s convo., he knows she is the princess. He was initially going to purposely lose the contest but he is intrigued and wants to see the princess’ face.

Rudra & maan swordfighting is something I would like to see.

Did these types of contests really exist for princes/princesses?

I like that you included paro & rudra in this story, nice touch .

Fascinating Start

Maan at his office when his father Jeet Singh Khurana comes in

asking Maan to attend the princess's function

he also ask Maan to practice his sword fighting

seems like Maan is already intrigued by the young lady Geet Handa

Chapter 2

Awesome Chapter

Maan was totally intrigued by Geet

but when he learns that she is actually Rajkumari Rajlaksmi

but he is also angry at the fact that this function of choosing a groom

is something that defeats once personality

the men have no idea about the princess yet they participate

to win and marry the princess

ALL THE NAMES & PLACES ARE FICTITIOUS . Any royal titles, MEDICAL PROCEDURES, MEDICAL TERMS, MILITARY PROCEDURES, MILITARY TERMS, Punjabi terms, architectural terms, IT terms & programs, office hierachy, wedding rituals, etc. There also maybe some HINDU MYTHOLOGICAL references but they all are from my imagination hence THEY ARE NOT TRUE. If any resemblance to persons, places, events and stories it is purely coincidental! It has FANTASY (totally untrue) undertones to it. KINDLY READ IF ONLY COMFORTABLE!!!

KINGDOM OF KSHITIJA

Meanwhile as soon as Rajkumari Rajlakshmi walked in through the main entrance of the palace, she was encountered by furious Maharaj and Maharani.

“I want you in main study right now.” Maharaj ordered from in between his clenched teeth in an icy tone and walked away followed by Maharani.

“Didi, abb aap kya karengi? Kaka-sa aur Kaki-sa atyadhik krodhit hain.” (Didi, what will you do now? Uncle and Aunty are furious with you.) A petrified Kumudini said.

“Kumud chinta matt karo. Sab theek ho jaayega.” (Don’t worry Kumud, everything will be fine.) Rajkumari Rajlakshmi (Raj) calmed Kumud down.

As soon as Raj entered her father’s private study cum library, Maharani Bhagyashree at once got up from the sofa where she was sitting. Before she could get angry at Raj, Maharaj Gajendra at once said, “Shree, shaant ho jaao.” (Calm down Shree!) Looking at Rajkumari Rajlakshmi (Raj), Maharaj Gajendra spoke in English in a firm and no nonsense voice, “Why did you go to Kingdom of Ramgarh without my permission?”

“Munshiji was going to buy some horses hence I went with him to evaluate whether the horses were worth the price we were paying for them or not.”

“Munshiji was fully capable of seeing them and finalizing the price, you have no reason to accompany them.”

“Maybe he was but I was feeling lonely with all of you gone thats why…………” Raj said softly.

“The reason we left you home was that its just one week until your “swayamvar”. If you are to be seen in any one particular Kingdom before your swayamvar, it will be felt by rest of the kingdoms that your alliance has already been fixed in that kingdom.” Maharaj Gajendra said in a displeased voice.

“I’m sorry this will not happen again.” Raj said red with embarassment and guilt.

“Kanahji ki atyanth kripa hai ki kissi ne aapko dekha nahi.” (By God’s Grace luckily no one saw you.) Maharani Bhagyashree said with relief.

FIVE DAYS LATER

In these five days,Maan tried by all subtle means to see Rajkumari Rajlakshmi’s photograph either on internet or in the book having family trees of current as well as of past royalties present in India but it was of no use. Maan went near Geet’s sketch and said, “Naa toh hum aapko hi dhoondh paaye aur naa hi Rajkumari Rajlakshmi ki tasveer ko! Hum bina aapse mile aur baat kare kaise Rajkumari Rajlakshmi ke swayamvar par jaayen?” (I’ve neither been able to find you nor Princess Rajlakshmi’s photo! How can I go to Princess Rajlakshmi’s swayamvar without meeting you for one last time.)

Meanwhile in these five days, Geet also became very quite. She would lock herself in her room and talk to the Maan’s edgy sketch, “Aap humare itne nikat the kintu hum aapse ekaant mein vratalaap bhi nahi kar paaye. Lajja ke kaaran hum kewal aapko ek nazar hi dekh paaye. Kaash Mata Parvati hum par kripa karen aur swayamvar mein humara aapse vivaah ho jaaye. Kintu hummein aapka naam tak gyaat nahi!” (You were so near me but I couldn’t even talk to you in privacy. Due to shyness I only got a single glimpse of you. I wish Goddess Parvati shows mercy on me and you win my swayamvar and marry me. But I don’t even know your name!)

Next day mid morning onwards announced the arrival of Kings and Princes, thereby keeping Maharaj Gajendra and royal male courtiers i.e. Diwanji, Munshiji etc. extremely busy. While Maharani Bhagyashree, female relatives along with domestic female staff were busy seeing to the prospective bridegrooms needs. Whereas Daimaa, maids & massaging ladies under Maharani’s supervision were busy seeing to Geet’s bath, toiletries, cosmetics and attire for the day of actual ‘swayamvar’. In between, Parvati and Priyamvada came near Geet with tit-bits of gossip. “Didi, didi, woh Vijaygarh ke Maharaj Gangadhar bahut hi vriddh aur durbal hain aap unse vivaah matt kariyega.” (Didi, didi, the King of Vijaygarh Maharaj Gangadhar is very old and fraile. Please don’t marry him.) Priyamvada gossiped.

“Haan didi, aur woh Rajkumar Devdutt Rathore se toh bilkul bhi nahi. Woh itne abhudra (mannerless and disgusting) hain aur unhone aapke pyaare ashw Snowflake par bhi gursawari karni chahi.” (Yes didi and don’t even consider that Rajkumar (Prince) Devdutt Rathore. He is so manerless and disgusting, he als tried to forcibly ride your favorite horse, Snowflake.) Parvati also added fuel to fire.

“Parvati aur Priyamvada, bass karo. Inn sab mein se koi bhi tumhare jeeja-sa ho sakten hain. Maryada mein raho.” (ENOUGH Parvati and Priyamvada. Don’t forget one of them will soon be your brother-in-law. Try and maintain royal decorum and etiquette.) Maharani Bhagyashree said curtly in disapproving tone.

“Choti Maa, kintu humare vichare se didi ke roop aur gunno ke sacche jeevan sahbhaagi kewal Yuvraj Madhav Rao Rajsinghania hi hain.” (Aunt, my personal opinion is that Raj didi’s beauty and temperament is best suited to Yuvraj (Crown Prince) Madhav Rao Rajsinghania. He will make her a perfect life partner!)

“Haan Kumud, aap bilkul sahi keh raheen hain. Humari bhi Kanahji se karbadh ho kar vinti hai ki Yuvraj Madhav Rao hi humare “jawai-sa” banne.” (Yes Kumud, you are absolutely right. I’m praying feverently to Lord Krishna to make Yuvraj (Crown Prince) Madhav Rao as our future son-in-law.) Saying Maharani Bhagyashree walked out of the room to see to the royal guests’ refreshments. Whereas this conversation fell on deaf years of Rajkumari Rajlakshmi as her heart was already in thoughts of a tall, handsome youngman having 8pack abs who was “Yuvraj of Ramgarh”.

Great part. So maneet are thinking about each other but they don't know much about each other so they are depressed about it. Geet wants to marry maan but it is possible only when maan will participate in this swaymwar.waiting for next dear
