NON-GEET related

Well I reckon its a hoax, and so do some media oulets but i felt i should spread the word anyway.

I'd much rather be extra careful then regretful

It is said that the Momo Character appears suddenly challenging kids (any age) using YouTube and Youtube Kids, it first asks to befriend then gives out a number of challenges, some very sinister and cruel ones like inserting folks into power sockets or stabbing a parent, cut your leg/arm etc.

Its sounds too chilling to be true but rather safe than sorry

Here's an image of MOMO, shes effking scary as shit

Sorry no nightmares intended, just keep a tab on what you're son or daughter is watching and using; Internet can be a scary place. Sorry also if its not true, but Uk's rather worried, i know my sis-in-law and we aunts are defo scared since my nephew is addicted to the damn iPad.

Be safe and alert xoxoxo

Its been all over the newspapers here and social media sites.

It seems like a hoax but there was another challenge similar to that one a couple of years ago and a child had killed himself.

Given how many youngsters and adults are struggling with mental health these days, it wouldn't be such a surprise if it's real.

We'd received a letter from my sons school warning about Momo and advised parents should be aware of what their children go on.

These days no matter how careful you might be and keep a keen eye over children's activities, it is difficult with so many children given mobile phones at the age of 7 & 8!

I find it ridiculous that a child so young needs such a device at that age. And it's a wonder why people are affected by poor mental health.

^ Online grooming has been and is stilll a huge issue (I remember sitting though weeks and weeks of PHSE (physical health social education I think) lessons with similar topics). With more kids these days with mobiles/Tabs etc its far much easier to manipulate and take advantage of the youth. I totally agree, it's shocking the amount of primary school kids with phones, they don't need one, and far too young to know how to operate one. then there's gaming. As you mentioned, mental health is on the increase; maybe due to over exposure to technology.

Apparently, my nephew was given a similar letter referring to the Momo challenge and prior to making this post I watched ITVs This Morning to confirm whether it was a hoax or not. Quite a lot of the schools in borough handed out similar letters. It feels like a repeat of the clown challenge, another foolish and preposterous crap

Hopefully it's a hoax, but which low life would come up with something like this, its so vile and disgusting, targeting little innocents kids is just yuck

Absolute sickening 🤢
