Yes a mother's heart is always softer towards her son but Ranjit he knows why there is distance now between Maan and Geet because after the media fiasco he decided to come to USA to be with both Maan and Geet so they don't distance themselves from each other
so now thinking that he has made a haste decision to get Maan married its for one understandable as Geet have not shown any emotion or concern but he also knows that Geet is a kind person he is aware because Geet's grandfather would have spoken to him in detail and Maan also has the file that Geet's grandfather gave him .
Geet now has distanced herself only because she feels that Maan himself does not want her around himself so she too has killed her emotions that started brewing while now she only thinks about their deal and knows its just for another 3 months then both she and Maan will thread separate paths
